Glad to know there are others who like the third party one more. With all the QC disasters TT had with with MP44, they ruined their own parade. Such fools, they need to wake up.

The figure design in and of itself is good, but then they let it fall apart, literally.

I own both TE-01 and MP44. I reckon the latter looks better in hand, and I appreciate the effort of the designers on the overall streamlined cartoon look of the bot, and the very little details like hiding the back mirrors in bot mode, the 'fortress' interchangeable to the robot stand, the battle-damaged look of the prime... but honestly, the QC is disastrous for the price tag and brand name like that. To me, I still love my TE-01 better.

Got my mp44 in today. After transforming him to bot I’ve got to say....this is my Optimus Prime. What back pack? In hand that becomes irrelevant. The amount of articulation this thing has is off the charts. I’m selling my TE-01 since I have limited space and already own 5 OPs

With all due respect to MS-01 and TE-01…

GODS, WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN !
    20190915_142429.jpg
MP-44 is the closest to the perfect Optimus, it just has much more potential, mainly because TE-01 just fits together so well, which would limit the amount of potential changes, with both MS-01 and MP-44 having more potential, the former having more potential for change, but MP-44 is just that much better of an Optimus for it to not matter.

For all of the talks about articulation...I'm willing to bet that most people's collections and shelves (over 50%) are like mine...nearly static to mild poses to fit the most figures as possible. Now which one of these Primes looks the best in those types of poses?...seems elementary to me.
    carry on...

Yeah, slightly bent knees, maybe a little waist tilt with some kinda cool way to hold a gun. Essentially trying to look cool in a basic standing pose

yep and by that basis if you just do static poses you might as well have them not transform eh ?

I keep my MP’s in a on going fight scene where I got a nice long shelf to make a battle display. Need to buy some more siege and other stuff to add gunfire and explosions but it’s getting there.

    Do these help?

    IMG_6368.JPG IMG_6552.JPG IMG_6504.JPG

I'm not one for 'over using' articulation to the point at which it breaks the sculpts so none of the above are using the articlulation to it's extreme but suffice is to say it's capable of almost as much as MP-44 and in my opinion more than enough.

There's no right or wrong answer here, they all have their pros and cons. It's up to the individual to weight those up and make their choice.

You use a backside photo to prove your point lol. It even has a poorly done photoshop fix of 44 included, which just illustrates how much ass he looks from the back.

Same can be said of be those that value uber articulation to the detriment of asthestics.

Which is why I'm happy with a blend of the 3. As a TE & MS owner I love how TE displays but picking it up and fiddling with posing etc...nah, he's tat.

For me, alt, bot & transformation are all even in a figures characteristics.

I don't own MP44 but for me it's easy to see he's the best of the 3. I won't buy it as I have enough primes but I don't need to pretend he sucks because I have no interest in paying for him

    Toon accurate shelf display
    MP44>TE> MS

    A total package
    MP44 > MS > TE

Thats my view anyhow. I don't see any scenario where TE wins other than price vs MP44 and being a really good stand in for MP44 but articulation goes to MP44 & MS. Toon accuracy goes to MP44. Transformation goes to MS. The only category TE wins is Toon asthetic vs MP44 price. If you want that specific look but dont want to fork out for MP44 then he's awesome and a brilliantly built figure but for me he's an alternative, not a winner.

I own TE01 (V2) and tend to use more static, less extreme poses for him and all of my collection, but i also transform him quite frequently.

That said i also repose him from time to time - his articulation is perfectly good for any pose i wish to put him in, and i do not need to worry about trying to avoid poor sculpt breakup / excess panelling or posing him so that i cannot see a backpack / side profile issues, or in truck mode trying to hide the rear section, which i definitely would with MP44 (and wouldnt need to with MS01).

Everyone has different things which are important to them - for me as long as articulation is acceptable for normal basic poses (which in this case it is), it comes well behind build quality and solidity/strength, clean accurate looks (preferably from as many angles as is possible), and transformation.
