It's to plug it in the side of the handle which is on the other end of the tube. It's in the book, but easily missed. ;)

I did. Honestly, as far as complex transformations go, MP-44's is pretty easy to sort out once you get going. It's all 90 and 180 degree hard stops. There's lots of things to move, but not a lot of guesswork as to where to move it to. And everything works one step at a time, rather than some of the crazier ones like where you have to move some pieces part of the way, so that they're in the optimal position to thread other parts through, before moving ahead with what you were doing before. As always, it just comes down to identifying the parts that can move and determining how they're fastened to figure out how they move, and then it's just a matter of moving everything that does until things start taking shape, and then fine tuning.

Have you looked at all of the instructions? The illustrations show the intended location to attach the hose to the repair bay mode. Also the small 3mm(ish) peg can attach to the other end of the hose, then mounted on top of Roller. It’s all in the instructions.

so I got mine today ..a day early ...and I'm one of the lucky ones with zero issies...both knees are fine ( for now) nothing feels off about them at all ..paint is perfect just need to remember the little plastic sheet to cover his crotch so the hinge doesn't chip the paint when I transform him.

I honestly think his transformation is pretty easy...i think megatrons is harder after watching a swift transformation video about 5 times a day while i was waiting helped...i didn't even open the book took me 7 minutes to transform him...back to truck mode is a whole different story tho...

You gotta think about it. Hotrod gets Prime (leader of the Autobots) killed, Hotrod becomes Rodimus Prime (new leader of the Autobots). Coincidence? I think not.

Thank you @Prime of Shadows and @chchchch now I'm having so much fun with the figure with some dynamic poses!!! Despite the QCs I can't believe that this thing is transforming and still able to pull off some amazing poses!

I've also been having some trouble getting the side panels to peg in properly in alt mode. I swear I've got everything all lined up correctly, but I still can't get those blue tabs to clip in. Whenever I try to squeeze it all together, the other one comes loose.

The bot mode is just so good, but I haven't really been digging the alt mode so far. I do really like the trailer, tho. Much better in person than expected.

The only concern about his transformation is paint damage, it's actually not as complex as it looks does in the videos. Back to cab isn't too hard but the gas tanks are a PITA

I don't know if this will help, but make sure your panels look like this underneath, especially the tiny blue ones just behind the front wheel wells/mud flaps.

man i think i’d rather use the s1 head, if it were not for the fact that i think the mouthplate sits a little lower than i’d like. if it was a little higher to be closer to the eyes, and the eyes less puppy-looking, i’d be all over that.

but just splitting straws here ^.^
