These guys mark my 2nd & 3rd ever third party figures (after Peru Kill). I've become a big fan of *not* Optimus Prime.

 

Today's haul!

 

A few recent purchases. The micromaster pack and Lego bits were recent birthday gifts.

I wouldn't mind having some of those Black Mambas, especially Ares Nitrogen, if they weren't sooooo oversized. If I got one I'd have to get them all in the interest of scale. I simply don't have the room for that. Isn't that Hide Shadow like, the size of a CHUG Titan?

 

Well i sold all my Hasbro movie collection and now just collect 3rd party roughly in movie masterpiece scale. Since there are not many options. my new collection will be very small so room won't be an issue hopefully.

I never had a chug titan but here is him standing behind old leader class Sentinel Prime.

I just received G1 Raindance and Grandslam.

 

Born in the latter era of Nova Primes reign, Nightbird, a new spark is constructed with a tcog flaw. This leaves her as a monoformer. With no value to the hierarchy, Nova attempts to destroy the new fembot with a blast to the face. Miraculously, she survives the blast. However, tragic she swears vengeance on all who wear the autobot sigil. Megatron never meets the rage filled bot, as Starscream deemed her unworthy to the cause being without alt mode or flight form. Luckily, the rogue combat master Sixshot sees her potential. Under his tutelage, Nightbird, becomes a master of hand combat and stealth. Only bested by her master. To keep tabs on Megatron, Sixshot orders Nightbird aboard the Nemesis as the Decepticons pursue their ageless rivals. Found by Dr Fugiyama, he reactivates her circuits and is able to fix her tcog. However, her cpu is more complex than the command codes he tries to instill in her programming. And thus, the pursuit of revenge continues.
*Just my head canon to make Nightbird fit in the War For Cybertron storyline as a g1 character not from Earth *

As much as I enjoy the cartoon, I have passed on the Cyberverse toys thus far. I am tempted to get that Alpha Trion though. The only other figure I have seen of him that I like the look of is the AFT-07 Titanium Saint, but that a good deal more money and I'm not sure I want spend that much on him.

One Powerdasher down two to go; I have Aragon on preorder so I'm just waiting for Cromar to go up for order

 

I'm not really much in to cyberverse either. the series is ok. the figures aren't all that great but I like the designs. I've got a couple others; prowl & hot rod, slipstream & deadlock. those aren't too bad. most of the figures are limited in articulation, that's probably the biggest complaint about cyberverse...

 

Fuuuuck, even the box packaging and manual are straight up based off of a real camera.

 

I was impressed with the packaging and the booklet too. Definitely the best in the series that I've seen.
