Guys I know some of you did get copies more recently of MP-44 that don't have the knee flaws out of box. Can you post the production run numbers possibly embedded in the back of the box? MPM-04 had a few ranging from numbers starting with "71" to ones starting with "72" with some of the later "72" run copies having less flaws.

There might be a chance that the later copies of the current run may not have the knee flaw. Just something I think might be worth recording for the sake of comparison and narrowing down which batch(if isolated) it boils down to. Thanks!

How well can MP-44 tow MP-10's trailer?

Here's an question no one knows the answer to, but I'm going to ask anyways.
Why does the trailer hitch have a limit on its rotation? You can't rotate MP-10's trailer too far because of clearance issues, but you can just attach it at an extreme angle to get around it. It looked like that wouldn't be a problem with 44, but then I discover it just won't physically rotate to 90 degrees. Makes it a pain if you have limited display space and want to have him hitched to the trailer at a jackknifed angle.

Yeah he said to use Bondene (styrene and ABS type):

    https://www.amazon.com/Plastruct-Bondene-Cement-Styrene/dp/B0006O09M4

    https://www.amazon.com/Plastruct-Pl...=B00FDFWJD8&psc=1&refRID=WT8SY0J3Q6YA16SZ9F8V

Though I think it's the same as any "plastic weld" solution you'd use. I used something similar (JB weld) on an iGear PP03C when a part of the wing broke. It worked, but I used kid gloves like no other (since it was crappy clear purple plastic) to make sure it held together. Lo and behold it did. So using a plastic weld solution should be better than crazy glue :)  Just gotta be careful in that you're not rushing it, be patient and allow it all to dry before you handle it.

That’s interesting. Is cyanocrylate that bad for the plastic the legs of MP-44 are made of?

He airbrushed it apparently. It seems he has some awesome painting skills

My replacement MP-44 arrives tomorrow. I should be able to catch up with my colleague who does the route I use to do and get my Prime directly from him on my way home after work in the morning. I will then spend the rest of the day with my wife checking for any flaws on him. Then replace the flawed parts with the ones from my first one. Let’s hope there will be as few as possible. Then I will do the knee fix and all the preventive maintenance for it to last. I will let it cure for the night and I will then enjoy my highly awaited MP-44.

    Can’t wait!!!!

The only repaint of this that I'll buy is a Powered Convoy version (sans trailer). I'm really hoping that the existence of Delta Magnus doesn't prevent such a redeco from happening.

Hope that´s ok, didn´t find an official review thread.
My 2 cents on MP44. In german, but the real rating is numerical, at the very end.
    Thanks for looking. :)
