Definitely a KO. The real one in package like that would be very very expensive, plus this item has been KOed a lot. I had that mold of Optimus and although it was a bad figure it fit together fine and didn't have any issue coming together in alt mode. True KOs can include all the packaging and accessories anyway. It's way easier to fake a box and a card and some stickers than it is to fake a figure. Anyway, I'm glad the trailer at least worked out for you as that's why you got it!
I actually just posted this on my instagram story today:

PLEASE keep posting them here friend!
SIGH I hear this every time there's any tiny issue. It's not guaranteed to be a masterpiece like the mona lisa, it's still a mass-produced toy of a very complex character design AND it transforms...

You know what, you're right. I was being too harsh and putting the "Masterpiece" namesake up on too much of a pedestal. Just because something is given a "masterpiece" title doesn't mean it will be perfect. All of these MPM figures still have to fit into a price point, granted, that price point is much higher than your typical Studio Series figure so you expect to get a more high quality product, but as you said, these MPM figures still do so much considering they are mass produced. Jazz for example is extremely accurate to both his on screen mode, he comes with an accurate weapon, splits in half, and has amazing articulation. There will still have to be some compromises made with any of these figures though. If Has/Tak wanted to spend an unlimited amount of money on making these figures "perfect" they certainly could but they know that no one would spend money on it because it would be too expensive and they wouldn't make any profit.

You're absolutely right for calling me out of this type of mindset and I appreciate it. This is the same rational that I used to defend SS-44 Prime. He has to fit into a price point so we can't expect it to be flawless. The same still applies for MPMs. My only point with my original post was that considering the higher price, you'd think that they would find a way to do the eyes a bit more intuitively, but as Whisper pointed out, maybe that was done to ensure the visor gimmick worked correctly, or that he had articulation in a certain area that wouldn't have otherwise. Trade offs have to be made when it comes to making figures and it is still very impressive the amount of work they were able to put into all the MPMs.

We as Transformers fans can be some of the most stubborn and nitpicky groups of collectors around (dare I say we as movie fans can sometimes be the worst?) and we forget sometimes at how lucky we are to have the toys that we are given and that sometimes we can get so caught up on the things that a figure does wrong that we lose sight of EVERYTHING that it does right.

Thank you for putting me in check there for a little bit (even if you didn't necessarily mean to :lol ). Always good to have a little perspective check every once in a while. :thumb

Incredibly put! Thank you for articulating what I've been thinking and feeling.

    Speaking of SS-44

Little bit of part swapping, tint, chrome, paint, and modification looks good on him. Hopefully I'll have more time tomorrow to do more.

So I got Jazz because he's one of my favorites, so I'd go with megatron in your case. I absolutely ADORE Jazz, but I can't say whether you would as well though. Considering they're the same price, and you've been waiting for so long for a movie 1 megatron, I'd say get the KO MPM.
It's all good! And it's even funnier, because after I posted that I realized that the feature actually DOES work! While it's hard to pull off, I find it super cool that it's actually a working feature! Perhaps I'm just gushing too much, but there are so many things I love about this little dude, and I feel like I'm always discovering something new about him lol!
Looking sweet! Is he still transformable though?

Probably Megatron. I haven't had the chance to touch any of their molds (unfortunately), but I think that KO Megatron might be a bit more of a bang for your buck. It's a bit of an improvement over the original and stands around a foot tall. Jazz looks terrific too, but I think you'll be a bit happier with the Megatron. Hope you enjoy whichever one you pick tho!

That window tint looks awesome on him!

Will you be adding blue over the red on his outer shin panels?

I saw your edited post but didn't have a chance to respond! :lol  The fact that the light piping actually works does kind of negate my criticism of the eyes but it is unfortunate that the eyes only work when the light is less than a centimeter from his head.

Still though, it's amazing that they included that along with the visor gimmick and everything else that Jazz is capable of. So no need to apologize for gushing. This is an appreciate thread and we need more people like you to gush about figures and talk about all of their good points. :thumb

    Indeed! 20190911_213014.jpg
Thank you! I do plan on doing a full repaint, including the blue on the outside of his shins.

Fun fact: the shins on 32 and 44 are longer than SS-05.
Using the modification that @savio-prime did before he did a overhaul and scrapped the transformation.

You simply drill the existing hole bigger to fit the fender part from SS-05. Then trim off the existing fender and replace it with the one from SS-05.
