When is NYCC again, I know there is some film themed ones due in Series 4 - I wonder what else we will see.

According to the Botbot site, a basket of chocolate covered strawberries? Okay then.

 

Oh. It was kinda hard to tell.

 

I'm like 95% sure it's going to be a blueberry basket for the second batch of Fresh Squeezes, it would fit that much better.

 

I do have pictures for all 3 series of which ones are female. As far as unspecified I think the list is Overpack, 24K Bit, Minnycake, Perfumigator, Dinger, Crib Watch, and Avocando.

 

Everytime I hear Fresh Squeezed, I have a sudden craving for orange juice. Mmm.

 

Speaking of that, I also think there's a high chance of Trisourtops being repainted into some other circular fruit... There's nothing on the mold itself that indicates it's destined to be a Spoiled Rotten, there's just a couple of little spray-paint "mold" paint apps.

 

As an addition to my earlier point about future themes, I can see some merit to NEW MOULD additions to some of the existing themes too - Seasons Greeters for example could have offering based on Valentine's Day & Easter too.
I'd love to see that Teddy re-interpreted as an Easter Bunny for example. Unless the Strawberry Basket is a VERY roundabout reference to Valentines. I was thinking something like one of those giant Heart shaped boxes of Chocolates or a bunch of roses perhaps would be appropriate. You could even do the Roses twice one would be artifical ones angsting about them being made of plastic and one would be spoiled rotten ones.

Other than the speculated Movie Night theme is there any other leaks, rumours or speculations about what might follow for Series 4 ?

I was looking at Mal Content and wondering if perhaps an outside/Camping store theme might be possible for example. They can reuse some of the existing mould for that too.

Which also makes me wonder about Boxed set teams too - like the Arcade Renegades or the SDCC exclusives are, I wonder if they might make more from the SDCC team themes for NYCC too - or skip and exclusive for them for that convention ; I can see the odd thing that might be said to speak to the New York location they could potentially use ?
I would hope they push the brand a bit at the convention I think it needs publicising more than it is.

I suppose the mould would be fine for a Grapefruit possibly a lime. So that would be a yellow and a green repaint they could do.
If they were REALLY clever they could remould the head and make different Prototopsians out of it. Like a Styracasaurus, or a Protoceratops or if the mould transformation permits it a Torosaurus. Or they could change the beast mode completely to something else keeping just the body and legs - or use the design for a shared engineering idea - perhaps something that turns into a Bull and the alt mode is a Sports Ball rather than a fruit.
Speaking of shared engineering though - perhaps there is some speculations there one could offer about what could be adapted from existing transformation patterns. Perhaps the Pacifier/Dummy, the Candy corn or the Christmas tree could be the engineering basis of Badminton Shuttlecock for example. The Avacado could be an actual pear too.

One last Comment on Trisour' though I think it's rediculously adorable how their leaves look like little wings - it makes me imagine them flying around like a little fat slowly rotting orange dino-fairy.

Speaking categorically the other thing I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has noticed is how many Botbots have Autobot or Decepticon Logos on them so far. That might also be useful information to have tallied too.

 

Here. The percentage of female botbots is about 29% (56/193).

 

"Outdoors" is the other 8-pack theme that apparently will be used for Series 4. That and "Theater" were the two descriptors given in store listings for the next 8-packs.

Ooo! A new head and it would make a great "Lime-noceros".

Is there any females in the SDCC pack.. that may add a few too.
I'm surprised it's that even per wave - I got the impression there was more in Series 2 than in Series 1 - I can see there is - but not that many more. That's Interesting "Thanks"

That was a total fluke guess then - I guessed the theme pretty closely then by speculating on the pre-use of the Tent as a possible indicator.
If they are saying Theatre I wonder if that could include actual theatre and not Movie Theatre - you might get something like some Opera Glasses then.

I think highly likely redecos are:

Outdoors-- Tent, Shoe, bulky backpack, guzzlerush redeco, cap
Theater-- Popcorn, tickets, soda, candy bar, bag of chips/pretzels, Dr. Moggly/Ice Sight (this time as 3-D goggles)

 

Oh that’s right! Vigitente is female and Coffeemus Prime, Carb O’Nate, Botarazzi, and Inky Inkerson are unspecified.

Which means it’s actually 57/203 (28%-ish). Oops!

the listing is specifically "MOVIE THEATER"...and they could use the tent for that series too, as people used to camp outside theaters to buy tickets before that internet thing came along...

 

I wasn't denying it was Movie theatre themed. I was just speculating what might be a possible alt mode if it was just Theatre or both.
Though thinking on it further Binoculars would suit the outdoor theme well.

 

Soo didn't know this but there's actually a commercial for Botbots Series 3. Found it on the Hasbro Australia channel.
