Just did the Deathstroke battle...that was exceedingly underwhelming. Why does everyone want to have a tank in this game? Expecting Scarecrow to have a tank now.
Well, just finished up the main story. Need to apprehend 2 more of Gotham's most wanted for the proper ending I suppose...does that mean I have to solve all of the riddlers puzzles? I still have some Fire officers to find and Azrael's stuff to do, but I assume that finding fire fighters doesn't count towards apprehension of Gotham's most wanted... I've never actually bothered with all of the riddler things in the other games, I didn't find them very enjoyable.
Yes, finding all the firefighters counts towards Gotham's Most Wanted. Azrael's challenges aren't difficult to do and neither are Riddler's (that is, if you interrogate his henchmen and get the trophy/riddle locations on the map). Yeah, they're not particularly popular. Instead of trophies thrown into the mix, solely solving riddles would be fun, but finding breakable objects and trophies is too much.
Finished up with Azrael and the fire crew, got that ending. Then informed that I need to do all of the riddler trophies for the proper ending. And a few moments later I was on YouTube.
There's way too many of them, they pose little to no challenge and are exceedingly boring. Not worth the effort for a a few more minutes added onto the ending.
I hate the riddler stuff, but honestly I didn't even break a sweat doing them in this. As the game goes on you get enough informants to know the location of 90% of them, and while doing that you get the rest. I just started an island when I was bored and before I knew it had them all. Also seems to have one of the only boss battle in the game locked behind them.
Because they're boring, give or take the few that require you to use your brain. Granted, you're correct, they're not difficult, but sitting there for hours to pick them up is mind-numbing. I personally only find it satisfying to find them all so I can see Bruce and Selina put Nigma in his place.
Thinking about picking this game up again since its currently only $15 at Best Buy, but all thats left for me to do are challenges. I would definitely need to get the season pass to go with it though if I did buy the game again.
Knightfall Protocol opened. Obviously... I need to complete the Riddler quests, but there's like 200 to go! I spent an hour trying to dive down a high rise and then swoop up an alleyway to grapple line for a trophy high up in the ceiling because I couldn't reach it with the Batclaw until one line fall I accidently Batclawed and pulled it down AND from the ground! Got pretty awesome at diving and gliding though...
I'm glad I waited. This game is now available for free download on PS4 this month only. Free PS4 PlayStation Plus Games For September 2019 Revealed
Free in PS Plus but not the GOTY version? They already became filthy rich yet they don't wanna give GOTY for freakin free?
Eversince the 1st arkham game, I never finished any Riddler Challenges. It was just an excuse to prolong the game's lifespan. But I like this game's take on Riddler. But... TOO MUCH TANK!!!
If there was anything that could've improved the game, it would be something like Batman somehow hacking the militia and Riddler's gear enough that the batmobile becomes less mandated and more optional. Like he finds critical data in the militia stronghold that lets him quietly hack bombs, more quickly target drones and vehicles, and just bypass the security around trophies so he can just pick them up without the hassle, balanced out by it being a late game upgrade.
