    Hm. Not impressed.
Might have to take a wait and see to what Black Apple produces.

Just might stick with the Studio Series.

Once I figured out how to orient and lock the chest panels in, I had to marvel at how much of an improvement this one is compared to the official MP.
I still plan on getting the Black Apple one, but I am more than happy with this one.

    100% agree.

Personally I'm not a fan of his videos. I find that he lacks zero credibility given that 99% of his reviews are all just gushing about how great whatever figure he is reviewing and how we should all rush out and buy it. I can appreciate that he puts in a lot of work and creates a lot of content, but I'd never ever base a purchase on his opinion.

Back to MPM OS Ironhide.... I've had a chance to mess with him some more (never had the original MPM but I do have the leader). To be honest, I think he is a bit stubby. It's something to do with his crotch/thigh area where his hips are almost nearly at the same height as his waist, making him look like he is scrunched in the middle. Maybe it's movie accurate - I just know it looks a bit funny to me (something I never really felt with the leader class version).

Further, on the arms/shoulder/chest - the ball joint pegging in is OK and holds the shoulders in like 75-80% of the time, but because there are ratchets in the arm which exert some force on the ball joint, it's not very hard to make the ball joint unpeg and then you're back to a floppy mess of the shoulders.

The arms themselves are just OK. In a bent @ the elbow look, he looks pretty cool, but anything else, because the arms sort of begin by sticking out of the back of the tricep area - they look a bit wierd. Also, my arm canons peg in and hold fine when not moved, but as soon as you move the arms much, they fall out immediately. Irritating when I am making my pew pew sounds.

The chest (that pegs into the piece that supports the head), usually pops out. It isn't really meant to hold the whole body together, so it's not the end of the world, but I do find it annoying to have to go back to keep pegging it in, everytime I move the figure at all.

On the legs, there are so many wierd/awkward moving joints. I guess some may love it for the 'articulation' but maybe it's just me - but I don't think any of the articulation is really that useful except to be fiddly when moving around. The ability to make him taller by mis-transforming the leg, I messed with as well - but it does make his footprint a bit smaller and you end up with the bottom and side of the food tucked behind him against the calf. It works I guess if you want him taller.

As you can tell from the above, I'm not blown away by this guy. I think maybe the MPM wasn't that great to begin with, so given the figure is based on the MPM, it's hard to expect much. For $60 - He's worth it if you're an Ironhide or big bayverse fan. I picked him up hoping he was going to be a cool bot and more to go with my Unique Toys Challenger, WJ Commander, BM Grimlock, WJ Blackout, BM new Bumblebee, BM Starscream and the like.... but he pales in comparison to any of those.

    I give him a 6.5/10.

Hi, I was wondering, did anyone receive this figure with the toes intact? If so, would you mind taking a photo for me so I can use as reference?

My toes were loose in the box when I received it, and I can't figure out for the life of me what order it's supposed to be in.

For some reason, they don't seem to properly mirror each other? I don't know if I got a wrong part of if they are all wrong like that?

    Thank you! ironhide.jpg

Got mine through from Show.z today. Ok, it's not perfect (some of those parts don't want to stay tabbed in when fiddling with the toy), but damn, he's stable and looks great! IMG_20190830_110441.jpg

Does anyone knows how to tap his shoulder correctly?

This thing drives me crazy...I want it to hold their position, but it always doesn't...

I could squeeze it in and clamp it with chest piece but it just pops out ;(

    Thanks :)

I watched that video before I comment, but it seems like he can't get that V-shape form...

I wonder if it's just impossible or there is a way...

Black Apple Ironhide likely won't be out until June/July next year, so until then, the Black Mamba version is good enough imo

Black Mamba LS-09 Ironhide came with two small pieces of black plastic.

looks like additional ears or something. Does anyone know what it it?

Only two extras he should come with are a split Autobot symbol that goes on the back of the truck.

The back hinge where some of the canopy is attached broke. It was completely my own fault.

Funnily, I was disappointed with the figure in the first place as I expected improvements over the MPM version. It was still a floppy mess, sadly.
