Wow! Patience courses through your veins. Good show man! I await your tutorial.

Quick update for those keeping track, add me to the defective knee list. Convoy’s left knee gave out. Thanks to @Temp1 for the video tutorial. I was able to mend the issue in a efficient and timely manner!

Also keen to know, @Optimus Dime.

My season one head has slight bends on both sides, not that I plan to use it much, but if I can get results like yours then I’ll go for it.

My S2 head is much better by comparison, but I’d still like to aim for ‘perfection’ there too heheh.

Go to the MP-44 Fix Thread if possible. There is a poll for broken knees.

What I did was heat some water up in the microwave for about a minute and a half in a coffee cup. I then dropped all four antennas into it and let them sit for a good 2 minutes or so to get nice and soft.

I took one out at a time, and slowly bent it into shape using a ruler (Just because it was flat on one side) and pushed it into the flat end to get it as straight as possible, dipping it back into the water as needed. Once I got it how I liked each one, I dipped it into cold water to make it save/remember its new shape, so it did not want to go back into the bent shape after time.

It took a little bit of time, about 3 minutes per antenna. But as you can see it was worth it in the end. I tried the hair dryer and did not like how it turned out. Hope this helps you guys some.

    Best Regards,

I did something similar but I dipped the antenna into the water without letting them touch the mug. Depending on how hot your mug also gets, there’s a higher chance of the antennae getting warped if you let them touch the mug (at least this happened to me with similar parts in the past).

That said, I do think hot water is the safest possible method and it worked for me too.

So I caved and ordered mp44 yesterday feom Amazon Japan for 350....it is schedules to be here friday...i was gonna skip this guy at first and just stick with MS and TE primes i wasnt a fan of the backpack and tje pricetag but sold some stuff to cover tje cost of it...still not a fan of the back pack but it is what it is...i like the MS prime but the TE prime I've grown less fond of...i don't know something seems off about it. I may get rid of the TE but I'm keeping MS I like that figure it's like an upgraded mp10

That is why I only heated it long enough to get the water nice an warm without over doing it and making the coffee cub too hot. About a minute to a minute and a half is all you need, just long enough to get it to where the water will soften up the plastic without melting or warping anything.

    Best Regards,

Has anyone tried swapping the eye part between the S1 and S2 heads?

Yes. It’s impossible. I would have liked for it to work.

I still find it very disappointing that an appr. 400 dollar TF has so much issues. All issues that would be totally a no go for other companies when they have a new product. Knees too weak so that they break eventually, paint issues.
We've seen the paint drama from MP36 and they still haven't learned. Also other companies showed that you can easily solve the paint issue.

For example, FT Roadking, costs 180 bucks, ZERO issues, and a true Masterpiece.

I'm not saying other companies have zero problems, but it sure looks like Takara's QC failure is significantly higher.
