It can’t be canceled when it wasn’t even officially announced. Just a “look at what we’re working on” thing. I’m sure they’re still working on it and whatever it combines with.

 

HasbroPulse does have the latest two listed as Piranacon 3 and Piranacon 4, so for the sake of the facts TFWiki should have fun with figuring that out.

If you look closely at the stock images for the weapon modes of the limb Seacons, you'll notice that they all have a combiner hand attached to their combiner pegs, via the "Prime Master" port, as you say. My hypothesis is that this is to allow Piranacon to "hold" the weapon in one of two ways. One way is the way you described, in which case you'd simply directly plug the combiner hand already attached to the weapon into the bot forming Piranacon's arm. This method leads to Piranacon wielding the weapon as an integrated gun attached to the back of his hand (where the Prime Master port is).

However, I think that you can also have Piranacon hold the weapon bot conventionally. Simply flip down the 5mm peg of the combiner hand attached to the weapon (the peg that normally plugs into the combiner's arm), plug said peg into the 5mm port on the thumb of another combiner hand (the port you'd use to have a combiner hold any 5mm compatible weapon), and finally plug this second combiner hand into the bot serving as Piranancon's arm. This method allows Piranacon to hold the weapon Seacon in a manner akin to how the vast majority of figures hold their weapons using 5mm ports and pegs. This is what I suspect is the reason for attaching a combiner hand to the combiner pegs of the weapon bots, in that said attached combiner hand allows for this other potential way to have Piranacon hold the weapon Seacon.

On a sidenote, I just realized that the weapon modes for the Seacons are more or less their combiner leg modes with some modifications, lol.

I really like this Prime. Like, to me, this Prime isn\'t hiding anymore. He\'s not a robot in disguise anymore, he\'s a space camander that\'s kicking butt and taking names. Would love to get the figure at some point down the road.

 

Someone did (forgot who) and yes, they are getting them but Hasbro asked them to hold off announcing them for some reason (probably to give Pulse a head start). They will pop up later.

So at this point I don’t know why BBTS doesn’t have any of these on Preorder..... it’s upsetting me. Obviously I can order somewhere else but BBTS is “my store” so I’d like to be able to buy it there.

I almost missed out on the first two because I just randomly noticed them while checking HasbroPulse, about 3 days from the preorder deadline.

 

I'm torn. I always thought the Seacons were cool but I have no connection to the actual characters. Manta Rays are my favorite sea creature so if I got one it'd be Seawing but I really don't like his head sculpt or weapons. I would love to see this get remolded/repainted into Depth Charge as that's a design I actually really like and character I actually have a connection with. What do you guys think the odds are of us getting a repaint/remold of him? If I were pretty confident about it, I'd just hold off on Seawing.

 

0% liklihood, if seawing gets a bw repaint itll be as the component of god neptune from bw2

 

Hhm, I suppose such a repaint would have to be from Hasbro given the target market and it's doubtful that Hasbro or Takara would expend the effort. Such a waste of potential....

 

Yeah, even as a "down the road" possibility... it's VERY hard to see a Seawing-as-Depth Charge ever coming out. Even if Fun Pub were still doing their thing, I'd have thought this one remote.
