Marvel legends 80th anniversary Ironman is awesome. It has some pretty good articulation and the paint apps are spot on (I think). I don't really have any gripes or complaints except that there is some marbling, but that's on every figure. Also the Tony Stark head sculpt is amazing
MAF EX Venom is out in Asia, looks a little small compared to Peter 香港人◎玩具 on Instagram: “JW_Show Mafex Venom came in today - #Hasbro #Marvel #MarvelComics #MarvelLegends #MarvelLegendsCommunity #MarvelToys #MarvelUniverse…”
Damn they’re practically the same height. Slight bummer but oh well, still looks like a dope figure regardless
Walmart has the marvel two packs on clearance. I got Colossus & Juggernaut for 35.00. The movie 3 packs are 30.00
So I got this thing Unfortunately, this is the Mafex I'm more used to expecting. Basically, lackluster. It almost feels like KO quality. The joints are poorly designed and not very effective, the whole figure feels cheap and easily falls apart when you try to use almost any of the supposed articulation. Positives are the paint application is pretty good and the wired cape is nice. I also like the comic panel accessories but think I will end up using the stands for those for something else. I got this as kinda a test to see if I would want more Mafex figures in the future and if I was basing it just on this, the answer would be no. Luckily for Mafex, I got their Spidey figure before this and that is better in almost every way so I guess I'll keep my existing preorders for the other comic Marvel and Batmans. Venom is on the way so hopefully that will be better too. Good thing is I have a character that is unique and not available from any other line. I'd be pretty pissed if I went for the regular Gwenpool since that would be one case where I think I'd rank the ML version higher than the "high end", cost three times more version.
I’m really hoping Black Panther and IW Thor turn out as amazing as their comic Spider-Man. Black Panther should be coming out soon hopefully
I forgot about those. Probably because I usually ignore MCU stuff. Give us your thoughts when you get them though.
Amazon gave me a $15 off $25 for downloading Amazon Photos. Ive been waiting for a month for something i needed. Select Psylocke popped up on Choice, last night, for $25.09. Im so amped for my $9 Psylocke. Shes going on my mantle. She will be here, tomorrow
Finally got the Hulk I've been waiting for! What a great figure! This Wolverine ain't bad either! Mafex Venom...very nice. Way better then that Evil Gwenpool Mafex I got recently. Woohoo! But I also got this. HOT DAMN! It's not Marvel but HOLY SHIT! There is a reason I keep saying Amazing Yamaguchi is the best line in comic style toys ever! This thing blows away the competition with better sculpt, better paint, better feel, better articulation, better accessories, better packaging, better attention to detail and just once again proves the passion they have for producing definitive figures for comic book fans. Amazing Yamaguchi!
Spidey! And to continue the comparison disscussion, this thing is pretty nice. Overall quality is top notch. My only knock on SHF is they don't make comic style figures but this is close enough for me so I had to bite. Looks like I will have no reason to ever open my ML version now! Overall ratings based on all the various Marvel figures I have in ~1/12 scale: 1. Amazing Yamaguchi 2. One:12 3. Re:Edit (would be #2 but since they only made Iron Man armors, they go down a notch) 4. SHF 5. Mafex 6. Marvel Legends Ratings based on quality: 1. Re:Edit 2. Amazing Yamaguchi 3. SHF 4. One:12 5. Mafex 6. Marvel Legends Ratings based on character selection: 1. Marvel Legends 2. Amazing Yamaguchi 3. Mafex 4. One:12 5. Re:Edit 6. SHF Mafex has the most to gain if they keep improving quality and character selection, they could be strongly in the top three.
