Well, a tipical child thing is to limit yourself ( and others,wink wink) because someone took a decision for you saying that things are for children. If you want to found that Unicron, do it. When childs (probably only Richie Rick) can afford that things, they could have a not so valid point, lol.

 

...I legit want to know more of this relationship dynamic and how it functions, but continuing would only risk derailing the topic, and it also ain't any of my business.

 

From an engineering standpoint MP are all marvellous. I meant less forgiving because the transformations are so intricate that moving the wrong thing in the wrong order can lead to something being stressed or broken. Something like RID, Cyberverse, or Siege have less intricacy so things can be done in multiple ways, or parts pop off without much issue. MP transformations require attention to detail. The transformations being unforgiving is part of their appeal rather than a negative

My mp 44 had the knee issue straight out of the box, the other knee went about 15 mins later and I was very delicate with it as I had seen all the warnings on the mp 44 thread and the videos on YouTube. I don't doubt that some people's issues were down to mistransfomation but from what I've read a lot of people had the problem straight out of the box

 

Hasbro's is better.

The fake one has decent looking legs, but the planet mode is laughable.

I don't know why these 3P guys put so much time and energy into making toys of other people's property. Why not make their own transformable robot characters?

 

Unfortunately if it's not characters people know and love already, they are much less likely to buy toys.

 

Unfortunately this. You can tell it's true because any time third party companies do actually get the license to make characters they always start out with Optimus, Bee and Megatron.

 

i don't get why those collectors that buy both hastak and third party can accept that they can both coexist but those that are "loyal" hastak collectors cannot see both sides it's always one sided

 

dont be fooled, there are also 3p "loyalists" that will always proclaim how crappy has/tak products are, both extremes are annoying as ****

 

would you have any interest in buying unknown transformable robot characters from a 3P company? cuz i most probably wouldn't (sorry, just being honest here!)...

heck, i'm not even interested in many transformable robot characters from Hasbro/Takara themselves, unless they're specific bots that i care about (mainly G1)!  

 

Yeah, I also got the Seacons plus preordered a case of D&D minis. And I also went on vacation to Vienna in August.
Simply, I always ensure I have money put aside for such things. Home or medical emergencies, vacations, giant planet-eating robots... You can never know.   And before you ask, I work in IT as a data management trial lead. I am not a regional or even local manager. And I live in Hungary meaning I'd probably earn 3 times this money in France or Germany for the same job.

 

Ah, great idea! Though I have Metroplex and Fort Max already as his baby brothers. I mean both are still bigger than my nephew...  

 

This is great. I think it will have WFC packaging given the name but would definitely be happy with something along these lines. Also reminds you how well the real thing nails the planet mode

 

ditto. don't know where the assumption that the knee issue was from mistransformation. some issues might have been but it's been clear some issues are because of QC issues.

 

but the funny thing is most thirdy party mp buyers ( which is the majority of 3rd party focus ) like myself fully support both line's , if takara had seen or could see the full potential of the masterpiece line the third party market would not be like it is now

if a supermarket sells a chocolate bar that is essentially a snickers but just a different brand name , different packaging and the chocolate bar might be slightly different but it's still pretty much the same as a snickers is that supermarket then leeching off mars inc ?
