The pearlecent plastic used on Apeface should be filed under oops. It tragically hides some fantatstic detailing (which is absolutely necessary in the waist and destroys my excitement. I may look into Astrotrain instead (for budgeting reasons not both)

True, it's not likely to be the white of Sideswipe's arms or Jetfire's body.
It reminds me of Triggerhappy's off-white, and that looks awful in photos, but I like him just fine in person.

Triggerhappy is one of the best deluxes from the entire TR line. I happily display him with his Siege Battlemaster.

Likewise. Even though the plastic isn't the color I'd prefer, the overall toy looks fun and I won't pass him up over something like that. The entire Decepticon cast of JP Headmasters in recent-toy-form is closer than ever.

Wholeheartedly agree with this. They are the best as in toy form. For that price. Only needing Snapdragon to complete the whole group. Btw I am curious about comparison between TR Apeface " the little titan master" and the one that comes with this voyager. At least Ill compare!

What happened with the white on Apeface? Those pictures don't make it look too good. Here's hoping he look's better in hand, he's one of the few Siege guys I'm definitely getting.

That stock render looks good. Apeface\'s head is okay, but it looks like flip headmaster. I prefer TR apeface.

How does it work with the Ape-mode teeth? Are they a separate piece that the Titan Master sits into? 8E1F54BF-9F00-45F6-A029-3E82C8854150.jpeg

Most of the ape head is like a bucket that’s attached to the body. You just plug it in

I really get what you are saying in regard to "being in it for yourself" but that also means that pricing should concern you when it is about items that a company can afford to put out there. If items become too expensive to produce, thus said company is reluctant to bring it. Then it simply does not get made.
For example the Rainmakers set is such a niche collection of figures, you don't really get them otherwise. I am happy they are at their set price, not too expensive, not exactly cheap. But just right so many people buy it. That way HasTak gets the incentive to make us more of these rather obscure characters. And thus provide for " Numero Uno".
Or do I think wrong in this regard? I mean I don't care what others do or what their gripe or like is regarding these new figures, since the masses are happy, and as long as the masses are happy HasTak pumps out more of the figures that I want. Correct me if I'm wrong ^_^

They acknowledged him at SDCC, they’re aware people would like to complete the duo.

I'm not exactly sure what point you're trying to make here, but I'll give you my thoughts.

This is self evident. Hasbro should also do enough market research to have an idea of what they can sell and what might not sell, right? Stuff like that goes hand in hand to get product that they think people would buy out there.

Yeah, certainly. I can certainly see why they were an exclusive too. Certainly too niche to really market at regular retail I suppose.

I can't say what's right or wrong here since I'm not sure what you're trying to communicate in the end. If it helps as far as the pricing issue goes...I can accept and understand why things cost X. At the end of the day, I make a determination on whether or not it's worth it for me to pay for it. If I think it's too expensive and I'm not getting what I feel is worth it then I just don't buy something? But that's pretty obvious. You gotta stay within your financial comfort zone.

Certainly, everyone should stay in their comfort zone. Though I do appreciate HasTak's approach of the fandom. I always enjoy seeing young people getting into transformers too. Since I just like the franchise as a whole, and never want it to die out. Though in time it might. Yet as it is now figures still get made, I can still enjoy it and so can others. As far as pricing goes there is a concern. I just hate to see people feel left in the cold as in unable to buy anything at all. Prices did go up lately and for me personally not a huge issue, for others it might.
My take on things is just looking at the bigger picture. As in the end the big picture will inevitably have consequences for me too.

Hasbro's Apeface looks like a cheap dollar store KO. He's as bad as their godawful attempt at Predaking. I guess I'll be getting 3rd party Horrorcons like I did with Predaking. Hasbro/Takara can't knock it out of the park 100% of the time.

And Crosshairs needs his own G1 style mold. I don't want a crappy repaint like they did with Doubledealer.

Pre-ordered the Target Master. I don't even know what I'm gonna do with these little guys, but I love Target Masters. Right after Head Masters :D

Seige has been so good so far that my hobby paits have been gathering dust for a moth or 2. That being said, Apeface is gonna need some \'touch ups\' when I (DEFINATELY) get him.
