    I'm loving the cross-compatibility with Ironhide's rockets!

Yep, that's what I think too! They look more powerful and since he's a bigger bot than Ironhide it fits. I'm glad these are cross-compatible (and wonder if it was intentional or a happy accident).

I think it's intentional. Come to think of it...can Ironhide and Ratchet's weapon bays it into Prime's trailer when the trailer is closed?

The MP-44 backpack isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. It cleans up pretty nicely.

Unfortunately it's not even close. They don't fit on the area on either side of Roller's ramp either (without blocking it that is).

A friend who doesn't collect transfomers but lives vicariously through me wanted to know what the fuss is all about so I texted him comparison shots with mp-10. I thought others might get a kick of of it so here they are:

Received my replacement MP-44 from Amazon Japan today, two days earlier than expected.

Mixed and matched some accessories. The new MP-44 had a scuff on one of the handles of the matrix, so I swapped that with the matrix of the other MP-44. Changed a head too. Picked the best humans. One rocket pack had a few small paint spots, so that one is going back to Amazon Japan. Very happy with the result. Only nitpick is a small blue spot on one leg of the new MP-44. Hopefully changing those parts around isn't too difficult...

This is just an absolutely gloriously, rivetingly beautiful masterpiece. Glad there's a topic dedicated to expressing that.

I've heard from some of you that own MP-36 that this thing is faster to transform than MP-36. So what's the fastest time you've been able to transform MP-44 without rushing through?

Honestly my main gripe with MP-44 is that Roller isn't spring loaded. Been looking forward to that for years. Other than that, looks amazing.

I've only TF'd MP-44 once and he sure as hell took less time to do.

MP-36, I had to look at a youtube vid to do his.

I never timed it, but when it feels smooth, I'd say it takes less effort than MP-36. 36, the legs and torso was a bit...challenging the first time around.

    CROSS POST!!!

Sorry for the terrible photos, I haven't yet gotten proper lighting into my display room, but I just love this truck mode so much. I do not want to slight MP-10, as I was thrilled with it when I got it, but this is the Optimus Prime truck I didn't know I wanted or needed.

it's all about take it to heart.
I would say the main hiccup when transforming MP-44 for few time are :
+ get the whole side cab to tab in properly when also aligning the gas tank.
+ position the whole arm assembly properly so they don't scratch on the yellow pattern on croch plate and also be very careful with rib grey stripe.
I was able to transform mine without looking at manual now , it's easy. It's the nature of having to align everything in correct order that make it take slightly longer than expect.
I would say MP-36 is easier because you have less panels to align and doesn't have those tiny correction pieces to make the silhouette looking good.
