I got my first 3 stars...Bombshell and Astotrain. I have 2 star versions of Shrapnel, Kickback and Waspinator and the Insecticons seem like some of the best characters in the game! Bombshell can take control of defenses, Shrapnel has EMP, Kickback has that awesome backflip and Waspinator has a great bombing attack!
Octopunch looks like a shitty Scooby Doo villain.
Characters I have found to be crappy so far: "Brake-Neck" and Slipstream.
My warriors are currently lined up around the block at the Research Lab.

Are you immune to being attacked for your first week or something? My base has yet to come under attack and I myself have raided bases with way less defenses than mine. It's going to be really hard to get the achievement for 3 successful defenses if I never come under attack...
What exactly do you lose if your base is successfully raided?

Brake Neck can be fun to use if you snipe in time...and yes Slipstream just sucks.

I don't know about being immune but you do have a shield in the upper left hand corner. When that says no shield you can be attacked at any time. You lose resources (energon/alloy) and medals when your base is attacked.

    Have fun!

Can you cheat the map with your base? Clear the terrain at the very back of the map without clearing the terrain in front of it and move your base back there?

Slipstream is a goddam monster against clustered defenses. I have her partnered up with the Combaticons and if I see clustered defenses I can generally demolish the majority of the base in one or two of her attacks. I send her in to the most central buildings around defensive structures and Blastoff is just behind her.

I've got her around 45/7 with a gold special attack boosting core IIRC. She's awesome, dude. Yes, it's a gamble as to whether to you get good or bad base layout but even in the 7500 zone she absolutely crushes.

    @LoneDragon
Brakeneck is great too and he engages at extreme ranges. Only mortars, missile launchers, and the big laser cannons with the range extension core can touch him.

We're kind of in our own little world so I'm not privy to all that.

Pretty much any con can be useful it all depends on the tactics used. Obviously some are more effective than others. I wouldn't use Octopunch but I'm sure there are some who use him all the time. Bombshell can be good for wars. Astro is good when paired up with Dead End if an HQ is lightly defended or not at all if the HQ is at the back of the map away from most defenses. One of our best players has Brake Neck on his top war team. His shots are slow but do a lot of damage and he can stay out of the range of most defenses. As others have mentioned Slip can be used with closely packed defenses paired with a gunner or another air unit to cause big explosions.

As you get to higher HQ levels you should start seeing more defensive attacks. Even if they lose the attack they keep the resources that were taken from your storage and harvesters. You also lose a medal. Medals don't do anything for your base or con strength. They're mainly a way for others to gauge how high a zone you can attack in. If you notice each attack zone has a medal number next to it. As you reach each zone medal cap you have to win in the next higher zone to gain more medals. After you get attacked you have a countdown timer (on your main screen) until you can be attacked again. You really don't want to be attacked too often as you'll lose resources too quickly.

For your map question you can clear any area of the base that the game allows you to. If my memory serves me right you are limited to which size obstacles you can clear away based on your HQ level.

This site has a lot of good information on the game. Home - Transformers: Earth Wars
They also have an official FB page and a YT channel. There are also players with good YT channels with tips and hints.

Since he's been out for a while now, figured I'd might as well ask: to anyone who has him, how's Abominus/Defensor? Is he one of the better combiners like Predaking/Volcanicus and Menasor/Victorion, or is he more like Bruticus/Optimus Maximus? On paper he sounds good, but that's a different thing from actually being good.

I'm still leveling my 3* but after watching the YT videos and playing the simulation when he was released he looks very strong right up there with Menasor/Vicky. I'm pushing mine to level 10. I just need Blot to unlock the 4*.

Okay cool! I don't think I ever played the test run when he first came out, so that's part of the reason I had to ask lol.

I like Abominus a lot. I have 3* Bruticus and Predaking maxed. Just have 3* Abominus at level 1 but his abilities are great and I think the individual Terrorcons as a team are one of the most fun units in the entire game.

    Worth it, IMO.

Any cons looking for a team feel free to try TFGCONSUNITED. We require HQ 15 , 7k in events and war and raid participation.

Look for us in LINE app. My ID is MASSDISTORTION. Or look for BCHINSELF28 or GODOFCYANIDE.

How much do you lose? Your whole supply or a percentage?

I got another 3 star: Swindle, and my first 4 star from a premium crystal from shards from the weekend event: Hun-Gurrr.

I like "Brake-Neck" slightly more now that I have used him a little. He's awesome at sniping Autobots when I can get him to target properly...not so much with buildings as even if the health meters weren't so tiny, I would have trouble telling when a building is under 25%.

I just started construction of my level 11 HQ and my level 3 lab will be done tomorrow.

I know if you send bots into battle, only the ones you actually deploy get XP. My question is do bots at max count? Like if I send 6 bots on the shuttle and only deploy 4, but 3 of the 4 are at max XP, does the 4th bot get all the XP or just a quarter of it?

Another question: The few, crappy power cores I have so far, should I be combining them and using them or hoarding them to combine with the better power cores I will get in the future? How do you get power cores other than the random drops when you get a duplicate bot?

Funny thing I got two 2 star Gnaws from my free Space Bridge crystals today.

Can not agree more with Slipstream. She’s not an “every fight ‘Con”, but when there’s a clustered group of defenses, pair her with someone who can 1 shot something (to detonate her special) and she absolutely wrecks a base. She’s also really effective at clearing walls on a time trap/honeycomb base if you center her special. She really shines once leveled up.

    YouTube (Legacy):
A special "target" sign appears above a building that can be sniped, when you use a squad with Brake-Neck and he's alive.

Only 1/4. All experience intended for maxed bots is lost.

Don't bother upgrading any bronze cores, unless they're something very rare and useful, like HQ cores (which would be useless for you for quite some time. so just keep some of them when you get them), G1 or other bot-specific cores and maybe some class-specific ones, like ability enhancing for artillery or jets. And even then only do it when you think it will be very important for your performance to do it now. You can also get cores from some specific crystals during events.

OK...is this one of those games that is programmed to piss you off on purpose?
I go for hours with my resources maxed out, just going for XP and using free fuel and I get 80k-100+k energon and alloy per battle...
But as soon as I have a free builder, and spend most or all of my resources, I start getting 20k-40k or less for the exact same tier battle!!

It's programmed to induce you to spend money, which means, yes, when your storage is full it'll offer you higher rewards for a battle - this is supposed to make you want to pay to finish construction more quickly, so you can free up storage space.

It also puts you against more difficult bases as you get toward the end of a weekend event, so that you might struggle to hit your goal in time and have to pay for extra battle cells. And you'll notice that while they've been forced to publish the odds of getting different classes and star ratings of bots from different crystals, there'll be one or two specific characters that your account gets frequent dupes of - as well as other strange patterns in bot acquisition. It's pretty clear that the numbers are being fiddled with behind the scenes to see what balance persuades the most people to gamble the most money.

Programmed to make you pay and everyone needs time to recover. You get max vs. min all the time. If you really want resources raid on Friday.
