Okay. But seriously, I don't know why online stores like Pulse can't follow the same method as online ticket sellers: once an item is in your cart, it's reserved for a limited period of time (say, 5 minutes) so you can complete the checkout process. I mean, people don't typically rush up to my cart and steal items out of it when I'm at Walmart or Target, and that's basically what's happening with online stores that don't offer said time limit to complete your purchase, at least for high profile exclusives like this. I was trying to get one for my girlfriend, so yeah, I feel pretty bad right now too.
That's what I normally do but HunterGreen's method should shave off a few extra seconds. Will have to steal that play.
Yes! Perfect solution! Everyone go home, we've solved it! I just wish people put more thought into designing an infrastructure that's the core of their business.
My Hulk got sniped out of my shopping cart on Pulse premium order day doing the copy and paste. It didn't authorize because I didn't have the spaces between every 4 numbers (might just be my browser but I don't know and won't risk it again), and by the time I re-entered the numbers manually, it was gone... I then switched to the Google Pay / auto fill on everybody day and got Hulk. I even practiced last night and double checked the method an hour before 8:57 AM PST to prepare for Boba Fett today.
Got the spinning wheel of death on Boba Fett. Since I dropped the SW Black series (or Star Wars period) I'm not too upset. I wanted it out of nostalgia, but obviously not gonna get it. My last Star Wars toy purchase will forever be Hot Toys Empire Vader I guess.
Haha, it's hilarious we have to go through training and simulation scenarios to prepare to order a toy. I'm bummed I didn't get anything but I think I'm at the point where I just look back and laugh at myself for the BS I put myself through for toys. If I miss out, I miss out, NBD. I'm not paying any more than the $24.99 + tax Hasbro offered it for...unless somone is kind enough to offer me the same plus shipping or even better, pickup. so no shipping cost.
I managed to get my soon-to-be-readily-available Sith Trooper w/ Leaf blower so I'm happy. Boba would have been nice but no doubt there are plenty of others that wanted him more than me.
Well a nice conciliation prize I ordered 2 more Prototype Vaders from Target.com just now. I threw in a Siege Battle Master to get them shipped.
Same. The only problem is my phone is not as fast as using my laptop. So hopefully it will last for at least a full minute.
I've found phones to work as good, if not better than laptops for preorder madnesses. But it really depends on your connection speed more than anything else.
I will have to see what the office's wifi is like. Luckily I have somebody at work who knows my hobby and will most likely help. But I got to get my mind off Boba Fett for now. Let me change the subject. About yesterday's reveals, does anyone have a plan on getting them or you know which is your best store since Toysrus is gone in the US?
I only care about the Mandalorian, Sith Girl and Sith Trooper. Not sure what I'm going to do because I'm not lining up and fighting over this shit on Force Friday. If I can order online, that's what I'll do and prefer that. If I see them in store casiually, cool! But I really haven't seen much SW in stores. There were a few Archive series lying around for a short time but the only Maul I saw was in a completely beat up box so I'm not too hopefull about finding the Mandalorian in person.
I'll definitely go for Second Sister. But like, not on Force Friday. I'll pick her up in two months when everyone is done fighting over the wave. I want to see more of Rey. I don't really need another one because I have the Figuarts, and there's probably going to be another Figuarts anyway. But I might pick this one up for the new suit and the staff (which TLJ Rey doesn't have). Especially if there's a softgoods hood. A big problem with the entire 2017 Star Wars line was that they weren't doing Face Printing yet, even though Marvel Legends was. So like, I'd definitely get a Rose Tico or Poe Dameron figure, if their faces weren't laughably bad compared to the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 figures next door on the shelf. Rey has had 3 figures now with photoreal faces, while Kylo still hasn't had any (unless there's one under the boxart like Anakin's Sith face). The hood has me intrigued though. If it's made of the same floppy plastic as Maul's robes, it could be workable enough for both heads.
