Except that, not everyone wants it to succeed.

If they're using the numbers for malice, then really it's more of a testament to their character than is it towards success of the campaign. The sway in the numbers is not a mass exodus, else the announcement of Zeta would have dropped the numbers by over a thousand by now. I think we've dropped about 15 in total since then.

Yeah, that's accurate. I'm not a fan of belittling something because I want to see it destroyed; I don't why other people are.

Yeah, if you’ve got enough disposable income to drop $600 on a toy on short notice, you can probably scratch together another $250 to pick up the Zeta.

I'm saving up for Haslab first then waiting to get the Zeta afterwards.

That's something that should have been obvious to me but yeah, I forgot that the Zeta version is a retail release so it'll be out for a long while (or at least a few months if the production run is short and they do no other), but the Haslab one has an expiration date.

since its been at 5660 for 2 days...... if its lost 10....... then its gained 9-10 also ..... its at the point its only gaining enough backers to cover the one's that have cancelled which isnt amazing news but with a month left to go......... what would people expect? if people needed extra time to order....... a week isnt going to be the difference .... its going to be the last week and a half that will show just how many people the extension helped.

Since I'm still sitting on the fence and wanted to amuse myself during NCAA football commercials and halftime, I threw together this little chart to help me get an handle on the two current Unicron options. Maybe some of you can find use for it too!

That was my main swaying point. If I want, I can pick up Zetatoys later, but if I want to pick up Haslab's, it's either grab it now for ~$600 or wait and pay ~$1,000+ aftermarket.

Hasbro is going to sue Zeta out of existence if the Haslab Unicron Crowdfunding fails.

Zeta has nothing to worry about. Hasbro is going to make Unicron.

i kinda wish Hasbro would ask some of the non-affiliates to place their preliminary orders, so that they can be added into the backer total now...

i can understand them not wanting to do this before (since it's a hassle to do multiple times) - but since they extended the deadline, i don't think it's unreasonable to do it once now, and then once more in a month (right before the deadline).

that would really help with the perception of the campaign being more successful (as opposed to stagnating at just 70% of the backer goal), and hopefully motivate more people on the fence to jump in... o_O

We have the exact specs on the Zeta’s Minicron from their promotional video. It’s 45 cm (17.72 inches) tall and 2143 g (4.72 lbs) with stand.

Edit: Also it has planet mode kibble, excess wings hang on the ring

I was thinking zeta was just trolling but after seeing that video I’m impressed. I’m already in on the Haslab one for the “wow factor” and size but will gladly grab the zeta one after reviews are out if qc is good and it’s not too pricey, to fiddle with and transform.

I wonder how Zeta is with QC. I am tempted, but might end up going with Hasbro.

I agree, it will magically hit 8,000 one way or another. Hasbro will unload the extras on ebay like they did with the barge.

Zeta has a nice look and I can see the appeal. But the Hasbro one is what I want in a Unicron... I love the asymmetrical details, the sculpt, and yes, the size. I want this to be my collection's centerpiece. I want it to tower over my third party Masterpiece Galvatron, Cyclonus, and Scourge.
