So me being someone who wants to build up a MP Decepticon army without breaking the bank, would buying the KBB coneheads be a decent move? they seem to be fairly cheap and from the few reviews I see of them they seem decent.

anyone have them/pics of em with other MP's and can say how they are?

(I do mean KBB, not yes model. for some reason seen those mixed up)

 

Just keep in mind that KBB Thrust wings cannot be positioned down onto the legs in bot mode like the G1 toon, G1 toy, Takara MP, and Yes Model versions. It can only stay in the angel wings positions. Outside of that and the new face sculpt they seem to pretty decent quality from what I've heard. Personally I prefer the Yes Model coneheads.

 

Yeah I actually dig the wings being in the normal seeker style, so not bothered there. I also prefer the look of Yes model but they are just a bit too much for me to consider getting them all. with the KBB ones being around 50 on ebay from what I've seen, I'm interested in buying them up simply to bulk out my MP Decepticon display. I just cant pay the 100+ the YM ones are at for characters I mostly like for their designs.

 

The quality on YM is a bit higher but otherwise KBB is good.

 

I had KBB Seekers. I'd say poor quality in general with weak plastic. Null ray ports cracked, fingers cracked.

Never had BB7 or YM but I hear they are a lot better

 

So the Hotlink and Bitstream plot thickens... Showz both both up for preorder with a release date of late September. Both are still show pictures of the customs someone did that tf direct has been using for years.

are there any ghost starscreams other than the official mp-3 version?

 

I've heard that the best quality seeker from KBB is their Starscream (named Starburst).

 

I knew that the TF-Direct preorder has been up for a while now but did ShowZ just put their preorder up?

 

I have never seen a preorder for these two anywhere else beside tf direct.

 

Yeah, I don't recall seeing it anywhere else myself. Also, with the estimated release date being "late September 2019," I could believe it is a recent update at the very least.

 

Hopefully the colors on these two match the animation. I was planning to do customs of both of these when I had some free time. Ill just see what these look like first  

 

I'd prefer that Hotlink be released with purple thighs instead of black. It gives more customizing options since we could easily swap black pieces from a Skywarp to make Hotlink look more animation accurate while at the same time being able to leave them more monochromatic to appear like the generic guys below.

Exactly! I'm still kicking myself for not taking advantage of those $40 MP-11NR Ramjet's that were sold on bbts a while ago. I want some of the white parts for a custom without spending a premium for them.

 

Some pop up on Ebay for a good price. I have gotten a few ramjet parts there. Toy dojo was selling his lower body a few years agoon ebay. I messaged them and asked if they had any other parts. Got some arms from them that way.

 

Damn! I wish I could get a set of Ramjet arms and feet from them!

 

I don't think so. The original didn't actually sell that well initially.
