Replaying s1 in the background of my office this week while I work so my deskbot Optimus has the s1 head, of course. Love how it's smaller than the other heads, gives the figure a different feel! I especially love the way the face looks from a low angle.

I think this is enough of a confirmation :)  Sorry for doublechecking, but some poeple had problems with cyanoacrylates there. Perhaps there was some dust or lube left which affected the bonding reaction. Anyway, got it off of Amazon uk, it should be here next week. Hopefully I won't need to use it, but if push comes to shove its better to be prepared. Thanks again! :)

I can confirm that this is exactly what I had to do. It fits better now and holds Prime’s weight, but it still doesn’t hold it well. It’s too easy to make it let go.

My main problem with MP-44 is the sculpt. Sure, he is insanely pose-able. That's irrefutable. But it comes at the cost of insane breakup in the sculpt. There are gaps everywhere, horribly so around the collar. Visible inner mechanisms at the shoulders, waist, and knees. See-though ankles. Compared to TE where the only visible inner-joints are the shoulders. And only if his arm is raised over his head.

And that backpack. I know. "I don't display my toys facing the wall." Well, I have a huge diorama table. Many of my figures are seen from the back. I added modfans plate to the back of MP-36, which helps a little. But unless I want MP-44 wearing the jetpack, there is nothing to hide his back-mounted vocabulator (that I will never use).

They sure do! I've been loving glossy vibrant red coats of paint on these boys since Ironhide and Inferno and that doesn't disappoint here. The blue was the real surprise! It's depth and complexity gives it real versatility, meaning that it matches well enough to most of his G1 appearances (the blue could be all over the place on Prime, from baby blue to dark and grey).

This is perfect and shows that MP-44 is!

Awesome! Glad everyone received theirs! Such an awesome piece!!

Cyanocrylate did not work for me at first, nor did epoxy. But! @BrutiKing helped me and after cleaning and sanding teh parts where you apply the glue, it seems to have stuck really well now. I want to let it cure for a day but I have high hopes for it to work this time as the bond feels really strong after 3 hours.

I love these new articulated MPs for sure, but you are right. Ever since MP Megs these newer figures have that jigsaw looking collar area. The price to pay for having your figure be able to pull off uber dynamic poses I guess.

More articulation almost always comes at the cost of the sculpt. For me, it's a good trade off. This image shows what I mean, while TE-01 is cleaner in the same pose, the positions of the arms don't look as natural or dynamic. I'd argue that TE-01 has a knee gap too, he has a gaping hole as well and when you tilt the ankle there's a bit of a gap too.

Though, I won't deny MP-44 doesn't have those gaps either. The knee IMO looks nicer on MP-44 since the knee cap moves to cover the gap between the thighs and lower legs. The ankle gaps aren't that bothersome either. The mechanisms could be covered up a bit better though. Shoulder and knee gaps are expected for articulated figures at this degree.

I think the ab hinge makes the torso a bit more interesting, but I get why that irks you and anyone else who would have a problem with it. The backpack and collars yeah, the result of his transformation. BTW, between the two, which one do you prefer? Since you've got them both still.

It makes it extra special to me since my favorite colors are cerulean blue, cherry red and golden yellow. My love of those colors are probably part of the reason Optimus Prime and Superman are my two most favorite heroes.

The most expensive MP ever shouldn't need "fixes".

I usually never do this type of things but I wanted to ask Something to everyone who visite dthis post:

Listen, I find all these MP-44 bashing posts very sad. I know this is a lot of money, I know it is a very unreasonable and expensive item. I know it has bad QC. I know it shouldn't be fixed at this price. I know some third party products look better to some of you. I know MP-44 is not flawless. I know some don't like it.

But please, leave us enjoy our unreasonable, bad quality, stupid and bad figure!

We want to get you in touch with your feelings. If a criticism bothers you, that must mean you are not enjoying the figure in the first place.

Mine holds okay, but is there a way to make the connection at the gas tanks a little more secure?
