It’s a shame this is not transforming as it really looks highly detailed.

 

Star Saber's seemed the most worthwhile to me. I also did the same for Optimus, simply because it's huge.

 

Any word on actual release date for this guy? Everywhere seems to say August but no ones had in hand videos or anything at this point. Delayed?

 

Flame toys said on 10th August on their Facebook page that it should start shipping soon. I haven't heard anything since then.

 

The Chosen Prime should have him in stock in 3 days it seems.

 

Will be interesting to see. Chosen Primes newsletter from 08/26, has the “arriving soon” section......Star Saber is not listed. MP44 is and a couple others are. TFSource did not have it listed as arriving soon either but still shows an August delivery. I’m sure we will get it sometime soon, but would be cool if Flame gave us another update. If anyone knows of any additional news, pls post!

 

The email I got from them said it would be in stock in 3 days which should mean on Friday.

 

I might just get this one just to color it in a proper parade color scheme, yellow on the fins on the head with the decals "E.F.S.F" / "NEWTYPE" / "AMURO RAY" just for the heck of it! I know Big daddy Okawara would approve of such.

In all seriousness, I concur with many people here: the flame toys are nothing short of fantastic. Hoping they actually do a more accurate G1 design than the stylized ones before, though.

Shipments start next week, orders from D4toys first. I bought him from Kapow, I guess I can expect to receive the figure in 2-3 weeks.

So about the same size as Tarn. Looks great, cannot wait to get him alongside my drift and Tarn on the shelf.

 

It's bigger than I thought compared to Drift and Kadmos, I'm glad. This also confirms that Planet X Deathsaurus could be a good match for him.

 

The finish on Planet X’s Deszaras is very good (not Flame Toys good but good) also even though FT Star Saber is shorter than Kadmos it works cause I always imagined he was a little shorter than Deszaras.

I’m still hoping down the line though we get a Flame Toys Deszaras though.

Hurry up and get here Star Saber.

 

As per usual Flametoy's craftsmanship and engineering in the joints is top notch. Everything looks pretty stellar, I'm not sure how SS will be able to hold up all of the extra weight from the upcoming Victory Leo, but we shall see.

 

I wonder if there will be that much extra weight. He already has a those wings and the Victory Leo parts plug into the back and mimic the wings when splayed out. The twin guns weight are distributed forward a bit. The lion head swaps out with the chest piece and Star savers booties just look like they might peg into the feet.

At least that’s my assumption and I don’t believe there will be that much taxing weight on him.
