I would never consider my collection "super big," but it's easily over 100.

Between army building, buying multi-bot lots on eBay, my tendency to buy all repaints of moulds I like, my purchases for "someday" custom projects, and great sales, there are some years I probably pick up 30+ figures.

As a matter of fact, at the end of the Combiner Wars line, when places were slashing prices to unload stock (Voyager figures at $10 apiece, Deluxes going for $5 - $7 each, box sets for $30), I bet I picked up close to 40 figures in a period of months.

I am pretty much rebuilding my collection for a third time. Which is not fun seeing how there were a few pieces I may never be able to recover. :redface2:  So my current roster is at 2, and should be 5 if my current orders do arrive safely today. And since my goal is to have a small AFA collection starring my favorite pieces, my current cap-off point is at 10.

I can cross this "supa big" number with what is in my bedroom. not counting what is in storage. I'm in the 900-1000 range

I think 90 is laughably small for "supa big" but you'd be surprised at how many figures you can pack on a standard bookshelf if you're cognizant of shapes and sizes.

Anyway, I broke 200 probably 20 years ago. I don't even want to think about where the number is now. I thought about selling some of it but I don't want to deal with that circus.

Just got as count. Including the ones at work, on display and in storage I'm just under 300. I may have messed up as I was being distracted my children that don't want to get ready for school.

Dang, some of your collection sizes are insane! Wow!

Before I moved to Japan I had about 350 figures. Sold most of them to finance the move and pay for tuition of the language school.

Slowly started buying back figures a few years ago and now sitting comfortably at around 50 robots. Really don't want the collection getting much bigger than that. Currently at 2 detolfs and the goal is to never need more than 4.

It's just a function of how long the line has run. This year was the 35th anniversary for G1. Let that sink in a little. Thirty. Five. Years.

Hasbro used to produce about 20-25 toys per year before the brand started splintering around 2001 (technically 1997 but 2001 was where it took hold). When you figure Siege could break 100 this year, plus Studio Series, plus G1 reissues, plus MPs, plus whatever else random stuff is released along the way, it doesn't take long amass a ton of this stuff.

Marvel Legends went through a similar explosion. ToyBiz used to release maybe 40 figures a year. Hasbro seems to be pumping out 40 every quarter.

I'll expect my collection to heavily increase in size next year when I get a cashier job. I just wish it could come sooner, because of all of the awesome siege releases coming out right now.

I honestly stopped counting after blowing past 1,000. That was a decade or so ago, and quite frankly after both TR and Botbots I'm too scared too count them now. Been getting TF's since I was 2 and that was 30 years ago. I'm by no means a completionist far away from it but just collecting casually with a single 2 year break sprinkled in these bastards sure do add up.

I did a quick count, and I may have missed something in a drawer somewhere. It seems I have 74 official and 5 3rd Party. Mostly Siege. Two are duplicates - Siege Battlemasters that I bought on clearance for the effects parts and am planning on repainting. Small by many people's standards, but I have been collecting for very long.

I didn't count the G1 figures I had as a kid because I don't have access to them at the moment. Currently in a box in my parents attic which is a substantial distance from here. I am going to guess somewhere between 20 and 30. Will know in a few months.

I always wonder how you count it with inventory when you have mini figures and all that. If I own a complete Armada figure, do I count it as a single purchase, or do I count it as owning two figures (minicon and full figure)?

But yeah, 90 might be a bit too low to be supah big, but I could see the perspective on this being different. I'm not honestly sure how many I have, but last time I really took inventory was maybe a decade ago, and it was close to 500 then.

I just realized I have a "medium collection" (50) on my desk at work...and most of those are duplicate Botbots...

Anything under 200 is small I'd say.

Not counted for a while, last count was 133, but I'd imagine around 150 as it stands and that still takes up alot of room. I can't even imagine having 1000's and honestly I wouldn't want that many either.

11 left to get with Protectobots taking up 5 of that.

I'll echo what others have said: 90+ isn't a super big collection. That would be more 2000+ or perhaps even 3000+

I'll also voice something I haven't seen paid attention to: how to count. Not everybody counts TF the exact same way. (For example 3rd party: some count them as part of the collection, some don't since they're not official TF's. Same with customs. And what about Armada Minicons? Nebulans? Combiners? Micromaster teams?)

But counting the way I count, I'm currently at 430 figures. This is about a hundred more than I would like.

Twelve years ago my collection was more than 500. I've sold hundreds since then, but the last year or so my sales number has gone down which I think depicts a general decline in interest: People I've sold to have even contacted me offering the figures back for cheap, since they were leaving the hobby.)

I'm likely over 1,000 still. I've sold off close to 100 this year. There comes a point for all collectors that you look at your collection and question it. I'm certainly there.

I only got serious about collecting TF's after I joined TFW, so my collection stands around 214 figures.

Just out of curiosity, how do you (the general public) count Arms Micron? Figure or accessory?
