I always misremembered my first Bumblebee toy as a kid having that sticker. It's funny how it was featured in the first two Marvel comics, too, when Bumblebee was drawn more like his toy (no human face), clearly based on the box art. Personally I'd love someone, Hasbro or 3P, to create this as a fully-articulated version of the G1 toy:

    Bumblebee-Transformers-Marvel-Comics-b.jpg

Sadly I doubt ten or so frames from a 1980s comic will be enough to justify a modern figure. :)

Of my favourite things in the world, being messed about on FB Marketplace is definitely up there. Great stuff.

Today is just... Yeah. Today is a low day. Think I'm just gonna sit in the dark and binge Always Sunny.

Man, Wreckage is such a great figure. Was one of my first repaints, I made him dark green, silver arms and thighs and cut off his top gun. He's been a constant presence on my movie shelf, but generally gets relegated to the rear of the display. I forgot how great he looked in his original scheme. Maybe one day, I'll pick one up in his original colours again.

Which soundwave is that? His colours are wrong for hastak and I don't know of any 3p mp soundwaves that are out.

Any chance of sticking it on top of Trypt for his main tower and seeing how it looks?

Tracking says Springer and Stepper have been delivered to work, but it hasn't filtered down to me yet. Aarrrggghhhh!!!! Guess I'm just gonna have to wait till Monday for my goodies. But I'm an impatient man child, I want my plastic crack now! WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scalper

I'd heard somewhere he was delayed until October. Don't know how confirmed that is though.

I got my 'Refraktor Reconnaissance Team' set this morning. I almost cancelled my order for it, but I'm really glad I didn't, because I would've missed out on a fantastic little set of exclusives.

The box is nice and sturdy, and covered in iridescent details. The bubble on the front is actually 3-D, I was just expecting a flat window but it sticks out a bit.

If you have the regular release of Refraktor you know what to expect, but the added accessories really make his (their?) camera mode stand out from the regular one.

Transformation is identical, save for the extra parts.

And here's a comparison with the regular release figure.

And something I never usually do, here's some pictures of the instruction manual, which is delightfully tongue-in-cheek.

All in all, a great little set I'm glad I decided to get.

    @MyTea Boc,
I agree on Titans Return being peak CHUG. Along with the Takara counterparts it got me intrested in main line figures again during the height of my boredom with MP scale and along with 3rd party Legends helped me enjoy posing and transforming figures again instead of doing the "glorified statue" thing.

I got Abominus and Battletrap from POTP but they proved to be my last official figures before going full 3rd party again as focusing on Legends is where I'm getting most of my enjoyment.

The FB marketplace can be a source of dispair. Hope your day improves dude!

According to TF wiki its out on the 29th Sept, so yeah, probably mid-October before it arrives.

    Beautiful!

Don't blame you dude, the Legends figures just seem to be where all the fun is at in the 3P scene at the moment. Plus little guys are always great craic - hence my love for Micromasters. Actually due to get the Siege 10 pack tomorrow. :D

It's Friday, so we all need a little Dragonforce in our lives!

At the risk of being the dissenting voice, I'm actually feeling like Siege is a better, or at least more consistent line than TR. The real 'genius' moment of a lot of the figures is that they've managed to solve that weird problem created by the first episode of the cartoon; how come that robot that turns into a Tetrajet (or other cybertronian vehicle) has earth vehicle kibble? For the most part it's worked incredibly well (Soundwave's alt mode is dumb, but I still love the lamppost) and there's a greater level of sophistication in how the robot modes manage hollowness and such like.

In retrospect, TR had a pile of stinkers. The highs, like Topspin, were very high but man....some of those lows were low. Windblade, Skullcruncher, and even Highbrow look pretty crude to me now. Even a bot that I loved, like Hot Rod, looks a bit dated alongside Siege. And with the exception of Broadside, I was never that big on any of the Voyagers. TR was such a good time. Especially from around the third wave onwards. But as I look back I feel like what's going to endure is the more niche bots that got the attention they finally deserved, like the Decepticon Targetmasters, Monsterbots, and Jumpstarters, and the the truly outstanding leaders like Overlord and Sixshot.

Obviously, to a great degree, your mileage is going to vary depending on what gives you the 'hit' when you get a TF. For someone like me, that's mainly all about the bot modes, Siege is 'the good shit', and the magic moment comes when I'm posing the likes of Shockwave, Megatron, Springer, Ratchet, or Bluestreak.

    Speaking of those last two.
"Lie still, Bluestreak. You're injured quite badly. Soon as Prime's defeated the Dinobots we'll get you back to the Ark...patch you up a bit."
    Not so cocky now!

you raise very valid points (as ever) - the TR voyagers were certainly guilty of trying to do too much and delivering not quite enough to satisfy - will certainly be interesting to see how Siege Apeface turns out as i've got a funny feeling he might have been held over from TR to develop the engineering a bit further ( triple changing voyager Headmasters? - there's only two bots in that particular venn diagram)

Peak CHUG and actually peak Transformers for me was 2009-2011 I reckon.

Generations was on fire with great chunky toys like Drift at great price points normalising stuff like feet, weapons storage and minimal hollowness, the 25th anniversary of the brand saw some great Voyagers and Ultras, ROTF and DOTM had some of the most overly engineered deluxes any TF line has ever seen taking the puzzle aspect to new highs (and lows), and Animated toys were just sat on toy store shelves which were rammed with TG product. And we actually still had toy stores in the UK!
It also saw the rise of prominent eRetailers like Kapow. AA had its first massive weekend event and Botcon found another gear during this period thanks largely to the movies and Paramount funding.

    Great time to be collecting.

TR and Siege have been a return to form after the insane repaints of CW and a very dry period before that. FOC started a bad habit of cheaper simple toys that hampered the brand for a little while. Every line has a golden release and a few turkeys though, in that aspect the brand is pretty consistent.

Seeing the Siege 3 pack made me visit ID toys website to find it, but then I ordered the Graphy, Noise and Frenzy pack instead (I missed the preorder on Kapow and they had them listed as in stock, as if I wouldn’t order them)

Thanks to @barry and @CZ Hazard, I have a pile of new bots today. Misfire, Slash, Tailgate and CW Optimus are all mine! Now I need to get the Primo Vitalis kit ASAP, because all the other Autobots are laughing at gorilla-armed Doritio Prime.
