I just received my FT TG so it is one of the newer run units. His knees are pretty sturdy. Seems like they improved them. He can stand up straight just fine.

It’s a toss up between TG and Gabriel. Both are great... and there is no one absolute clear winner. Both have pluses and minuses. TG is overall a little more G1 S1 toon accurate. Gabriel is very sturdy and weighs more. I do prefer the rocket (arms joined together) more on Gabriel as it has a more secure locking mechanism. The split down the middle clamping design of TG arms and the rocket joint just is not as secure. Be careful wooshing TG's rocket around without care... or it may split back in half.

The face on TG is a bit more detailed and G1 accurate... also if light LED eyes are import TG wins. If you are interested in displaying Omega in base mode... WeiJang UG is worth looking at. He has the biggest, most realistic base mode... and a motorized tank... which both TG and Gabriel lack. Perfect for protecting the Xmas tree from Decepticon attack.

The knees and balance on mine are just fine. Same deal with my FT-20G Guardian robot repaint.
Grab it while it is still available. YOu don't want to miss out and end up at the mercy of scalpers.

My guys have never fallen over even on a brush by or two. Frankly, I like how crazy heavy they are. I have a first run plus some guardians FT-20gs. Even though I love my Wei Jiang army with gimics and more stylized look, FT-20 is still the G1 show masterpiece. Not to mention the FT premium factor.
I might need to get a bigger house to house the Omega army.

There is a good chance there were some with problems, but I believe most of the knee problems were due to not understanding how they are built. The knee joint is actually 2 separate ratchets due to how the legs transform. If you don't line them up at the same alignment it can cause issues. When I have my knee joints arranged correctly I've had no issues.

Finally got batteries in this dude, but the eyes aren't working for some reason. Tried putting the batteries in both ways with the switch in both positions each time, but nothing's working. Anyone else have troubles or know of this issue?

My TG just broke at the waist. I have only ever had it standing on the floor and never moved much. The area where the inner “mini leg” attached to his waist sheared off. Hoping I can get a replacement piece. Is FT still good on that?

Thanks. I PM’d him already and didn’t have that email. Sent it off. Hoping I can get it fixed. I think the joint may have been weak and wore out over time. It collapsed on its own. Might have been better to make that joint die cast.

FT is probably one of the best companies when it comes to replacement parts. I just got replacement parts for my Soar and Forager no issue besides paying shipping.

Well that stinks. Sorry that happened. Those hip joints are supporting a lot of weight and are not the thickest of plastic. Metal joints at the hips would make more sense to me. The hip design on WJ UG and DX9 Gabriel are better in that regard.

Yeah I’m sure they’ll come through for me though that’s what counts. I am going to ask if I can buy spare joints as I also have the Omega Sentinel version.

I'm sure as well they will resolve this. I have had so many parts from them, some at my own doing that I just pay shipping and others they fixed due to their issue. Sorry that happened. I am nervous seeing that inside of the joint. I would have thought metal. That is a big beast for that plastic joint.

Which part? The lower part on the back, or the "straps" on the shoulders?

@dalianjj on the boards can be helpful, but I recommend emailing them at: [email protected]

You may need to take pictures. They have been helpful with most relatively current figures.
