I agree completely. It is frustrating, but at least it is less of a shit show than a few years back when there was a 2-3 week window where these could go live. So the availability still sucks, but at least we all are wasting less time chasing these things.

Yea, I usually don’t go for kos unless it’s something the main releases don’t offer, but as someone who doesn’t really collect mp figures my mp collection will be small and ghost busting themed so I need a few good cons. Thinking about getting the crystal soundwave and megatron and Planet X somnus

Got mine at Fan Expo in Toronto about 2 weeks ago. Really nice looking figure and anyone who gets one won't regret it

It's funny how perception is reality. I was able to snag both Hulk and 10G on Premium day orders. For a free subscription this year, I'm quite pleased now.
Awesome pics! Well done and thanks for sharing.

Damn, that last picture makes me think I need some GB figures. Only have a set of the Matty Collector 12in 2-packs and those are huge (and is like to eventually sell them). Was planning on keeping Prime sealed, but damn it it is gonna be tough.

    Thanks

Yeah they go well with him. Picked them up at a dollar store of all places and they are the official 6" Mattel releases

Damn it, I forgot about the release of those a couple years ago. I had either 2/4 or 3/4 of the set but gave them to the local Christmas toy drive last year. Ah well, hopefully some kid appreciated having them under the tree.

I ended up caving in last night and grabbing it for $197 US plus tax last night off a seller with a bunch of them from China. I also hadn't heard of any KOs emerging yet, so I don't yet have any reason not to think this one's not an original. Plus the seller allows returns, so if I see something sketchy, it'd go right back. I just think this guy had some of the Asian market allotment or something. Either way, I'm looking forward to pairing it with my Ectotron. As expected, it doesn't appear to have returned to Hasbro Pulse. Difference between both with taxes was $51, which is still a lot better than everywhere else, unfortunately.

Not that anyone needs my advice on how to bust ghosts but:

You also are able to freeze small woodland creatures as well on the same program apparently.

so I'm thinking about something like this for my mp collection (since its relatively small at the moment and it depends on if i can track down all the figures for a decent price)
    autobots:
    mp-10g
    ectotron
    generations drift upscale ko

    decepticons:
    thf dynastron crystal version
    thf soundwave crystal version
    quakeblast crystal version
    planet x somnus

any other mps i should look at (official or 3p) while keeping with the theme of using crystal variants as ghosts (not all ghosts need to be cons)?

Maybe Kremzeek(s). You can buy some off ebay, (3p or ko, not sure) and in different colors.

There's both the Generation Toys, and the Toyworld clear Devastator releases, both of which tend to run a fair bit cheaper than their opaque counterparts. I think NBK also put out a clear KO of Gravity Builder as well?

There's the MMC Ocular Max Sphinx, and DX9 Invisible clear Mirage figures, though. Although, I think Sphinx's clear version was a transitional "vanishing" deco

Also, a bit of an odd addition, I believe Toyworld also put out a clear Cosmos variant, too. I wanna say the "Year of the Horse" MP-10 was also the one that came with the transparent trailer too, but I'm not sure how silly the idea of a ghost trailer comes off?

any suggestion helps :)  i've not been much of a mp collector, so limiting myself to stuff that would fit the ghostbusters theme helps keep it small

With all the talk about clear plastic transformers, ghost versions, etc. This has me thinking about display options.

It could be cool to light up your clear transformers from below with some LED light strips (like, you put your clear transformers directly standing on the LED light strip) . This type of bottom light could make for a pretty cool effect in your displays. I don't own any clear versions, but all this talk about Ghost-Busting Autobots has me thinking...
