Those Spartans are quite the thick lads.

 

Your humble opinion is noted and respected, but I really think that people do consider the aesthetics. It’s mainly why some are choosing TE-01 or MS-01 over this besides the price. It’s really not all that bad as the kibble at least has a function.

Each to their own though

Also, obligatory collection update. Nothing fancy at all, boring neutral poses for now, but it just feels great to have all this. Can't wait for Bumblebee, Hound, Bluestreak, and Smokescreen to join the crew! Also, can't thank @Sam enough for recommending these metal shelves! The new mini figures gave a satisfying *click* as they attached to the shelf!

I will say I'm not a fan of the humans he comes with. Next to the Dr Wu figures they're garbage....and tiny.

 

I don’t have high hopes for them either, but I think they’re fine if you rarely will use them. I think TT just wanted to add some extra display options for the trailer it looks a little bare without stuff in it

 

Yes esthetics is probably #1 on most people's list of priorities, my point was in italic "people don't judge entirely on esthetics". It's the key element, but if it looks good while being a piece of crap, it probably won't get a good reception. So yes esthetics is key, but it's not the only criteria. A HUGE criteria for people is brand. If it's not from HasTak, there's a very large group who won't like it, no matter how good/better it actually is.

Other than my hip ratchet assemblage issue, this guy really does look nice with Megatron on the shelf. Seems like everyone has the same sprue mark blemish on the upper chest, fuel tanks, etc... Overall though, a really beautiful figure and more complex than anything I've ever seen any other big-name toy maker put out (and I have Bandai's DX Aquarion). It does make me wonder if a company like Bandai would struggle to iron-out the same issues. Either way, I don't regret spending the money. Trailer is gorgeous as well, although the mini-figures creep me out with their lifeless faces lol.

Backpack is *much* better looking in person. Curious if a KO company remakes it with design change there (as they did with Ironhide's abdomen).

 

Is there a way to lube up that joint without taking it apart or is that necessary?

Really like how you have your seekers organized. Starscream with the other leaders and the Thundercracker/Skywarp in Jet mode flanking the coneheads. Nice to see something different that the normal 2 groups of three.
