While likely not quite what you're looking for, Yes Model put out Current, a transparent purple Masterpiece seeker. Not sure if it was intended as a Ghost Skywarp, but it's definitely a more budget-friendly release and pretty easy to come by. Sarah Zhang (DreamToysGo) has him for $80 shipped on her site, or $90 on Ebay (currently 8% Ebay Bucks cashback)

I know a lot of people are not a fan of the mold but if they did an MP-11 Starscream out of glow in the dark plastic I'd be all over it. I know it's not exactly how ghost SS is in G1 but it feels way more Ghostbuster-ey to me. Make it a two pack with a similarly sized Stay puft marshmallow man and you have a huge winner.

These limited run special edition items are infuriating to try to nab online. I didn't even bother trying to get one, as I knew that the chance of success would be so low, and I would more than likely just end up furious over coming out empty-handed after attempting to jump through so many hoops.

Reminds me of the time I was lucky enough to grab a MP Soundwave off of TRU website at some stupid hour, like 3am or something. Was I thrilled? I was. But I was also disgusted at how horrible it was for myself, and several other eager fans. Sitting around for days, refreshing the page. And if you had to go to a bathroom break, you just might miss that availability. I was simply lucky, at the right place at the right time.

 

Has it come back up at all since the 2-minute window at launch?

 

when going after exclusives like this its definitely better to go into it having made peace with the probability of not getting one, that way if it falls through then you might be a bit bummed but that is better than being full on upset. I was one of the lucky ones today but there have been plenty of exclusives like this guy that ive had to miss out on because they werent even available outside of conventions (botcon 2016 megatron, I'm looking at you).

 

I don't think there's much chance of it coming back short of someone returning it, I'm afraid. I may grab one off of eBay while some sellers have less than a $50 markup. The retailers can keep the ones marked up at $100+. Being born and raised in NYC, I'd hate to pass up a Prime as good as this that has a NY license plate as the icing on the cake.

 

The only ones I've seen on eBay that are around $200 are coming from China, Hong Kong, etc. Are these KOs? I'm OK with a KO (heh) but not at that price.

My chances to buy this figure set simply didn't happen. I just couldn't get bank funds in quick enough to buy 1 since bank needs time to update funds. If i can find a way to buy 1 from the website,.. i REALLY want 1. I'm hoping that they repost on the website they have some to (add to cart) for me to buy 1.

I looked everywhere for a cheap ghost starscream, and found the (likely KO) Classics Ghost Starscream for $19 shipped. It arrived yesterday, and the figure is in great condition, so this seller is legit:

I think it's entirely likely we'll see a Siege release of Ghost Starscream during Chapter 3 (2021) to tie-in with the Unicron project. A long, long time to wait...still...it could be something.
