For anyone struggling to connect the main body to the lower section I found this vid very useful, connect the back first then push it down, I was so worried about breakage and the backpack was on the way when you push it back.

I also struggled with this one, moving the front wheels of the body as there is a tab inside as well and I had a hard time. Pretty much the video below made my life easy, untab the waist/leg part, pull the grill down and bamm!

Hes worth the wait. If they wouldnt have bumbled his knee, this thread would have been a totally different place.

 

That did sound a little weird, and all of my LR44s are old, but I tried another set anyway and now the electronics work perfectly. Super weird, but thanks!

Out of the box the blue tabs on both my knees would not slot it (I even tried pushing them in with a little force, no give). So it's a tolerance issue on those two 'L' tabs as well. Not necessarily a broken ratchet. I haven't opened up my knees so I don't know what kind of damage there is (if any).

Let me add, the 'knee' issue only affects the lower knee ratchet AND NOT THE ENTIRE KNEE RATCHET ITSELF. So bending the upper knee 90 degrees ratchet is completely fine. This issue only affects the motion of bending the lower knee ratchet (crouching, Iron Man, etc poses). And by 'affects' I mean it becomes a friction joint instead of a ratcheting joint. The friction is still very tight but I guess people worry that it can become loose over time .

 

So disappointing, man. I’m seriously curious as to how widespread this is. It seems like it’s something that can happen after a period of use, or something that can happen out of the box.

I had to use a flathead to unstick the torso, I appreciate letting me know about that. Unfortunately he's still wobbly, even after doing back and front tabs and unlocking the waist. I either got a bum figure or I'm still doing something wrong. I took a video to show what I mean:
