Damn. The matrix chamber sticks out too far to close the windows so I jam it in, making the backpack stick out. So I push the backpack in and the matrix chamber sticks out too far again. What am I doing wrong?

Reading all the instructions & watching that foreign video @oku posted has made me understand what exactly is wrong with the knee joint. The ratchet part that comes separate should have been one solid piece in its housing. I feel alot more confident now on fixing this issue regardless if I pick up this version or a later reissue.
A simple blob of superglue will solve all the problems.

Thankfully its nothing as serious as MP09/MP09B exploding knee gate.

It also seems like a good idea to leave on them protective sleeves when transforming him for the first time to stop crotch damage, then maybe hit them with some Future after.

Defo going to use the hairdryer to get them antenna straight too...

Dr. Wu should drop a pack with some metal antenna & additional broken chest windows maybe some extra blast effects.

 

The blue tab behind the matrix chamber should be folded down. If it's not folded down properly it'll push either the matrix chamber or backpack out of place. Take a close look at the instructions to see how it should be folded down. Good luck!

 

I’ll add mine was delivered today as well. I have so much going on I honestly don’t know when I’ll be able actually mess with it. So I just opened it up looked everything over and put it back in the box. So I’m enjoying the photos and videos people are posting.

 

Removing that top "L" section would do exactly that. You'd be able to move the lower joint at any time, and yes, in theory it would stop it from breaking if everything didn't line up properly. I think getting it to work properly is a better solution though.

That's what led me to believe it as well. Also, check this out. Just opened my friend's with him, one antenna perfectly straight, the other, super bent! Also worth noting, both his knees were totally fine.

Yeah, looks like the tab is a bit too big. Very interesting. I'd try trimming it down first, take a little off the outer most edge. Looks like it might fit in afterwards.

I wonder how many broken knees were the result of this tab not sliding in, and the user just not even noticing?

Still waiting for TCP to ship mine out . They charged me last week & it’s been processing for the past couple days . Nope, you’ll need 3 LR44 batteries.

 

Lol , no worries about spoiling . He did it with MP-10. Just his signature side pose . Chest out , crotch plate posed ever so slightly thrust forward & the upper thighs ever so slightly bend towards the back of his hips. His legs ( the blue sections ) running completely 90 degrees to the ground .

Does anyone know how I can get a part for my MP-44? His right leg hip is missing it's ratchet. Took it apart to make sure and sure enough the spring is there, but both halfs of the ratchet is not. I really don't want to ship it back to Japan and wait on a new one over a small part like this. Any help would be awesome.

Exactly. It’s not like they don’t have 2 other MP non cartoon accurate Primes they could buy. And with smaller backpacks.
