You ever buy a new toy and find yourself thinking, "this is really great, but why'd they stop painting it?" This is one of those toys.

Well, actually it's a piggy bank, but whatever. This little lady (go ahead, argue with me--I'd like to see you try and determine the gender of a Cacodaemon) had a fantastic sculpt that the initial paint apps barely do any justice. There's so many bits and details in the surface that just kind of get lost without refinement, that when you do finally paint it up like this, those details start to become a bit, uh...let's go with "anatomically inappropriate to display on a shelf in your family room."

This was like painting D&D minis on easy mode for me: all the ease of drybrushing with no minuscule scale to have to contend with.

Which is great, because my eyesight seems really keen on reminding me I'm getting old these days.

Thanks kindly! It's called a Cacodaemon, and it's a monster from the DOOM games. I think this one's specifically modeled after the one appearing in Doom 2: Hell on Earth.
