    Got mine in.

Probably a lot of feedback on this already, but I can also confirm that the knee is designed to prioritize the upper knee joint.

If you try to rotate the lower joint first, you WILL feel resistance.
Once the upper joint is fully rotated however, the lower joint will turn smoothly and freely.

Based on the issues people have been experiencing, I recommend holding the leg as close to the knee as possible when bending it. It's very easy to put torque and unnecessary stress on the lower joint if you hold the leg more towards the middle or the foot.

What's up with that Japanese student backpack.
Is this a back to school version of op?
The transformation is like solving a simple problem with overly complicated method.

"Well look who's here: The old King of the Road!"

Vehicle mode shots with Fans Toys Road King. Motormaster and Optimus look great together.

Leg transformation was dreadful. But the rest was ok. Robot mode is much better in person than any pic can show. In short sweet as hell!!! Plus mine has none of the issues I’ve been seeing, paint chipping, bad knees etc. Probably won’t ever change back to truck mode as it’s ,like every other version of him, another boring ass truck.

If he believes shrinking Optimus prime torso is a simple problem or not a problem to be solved, he won't enjoy a second of it.

Got mine in today. Outside of maybe 1-2 minor blemishes, basically completely perfect. Really adore this guy. Just so solid and heaps of personality. One of the best looking paintjobs I've seen on a transformer as well. Transformation isn't too hard honestly, but it's one of those where a misalignment early might not show until the end which doesn't make him actively fun to transform.

Only real 'complaint' I have is this is really the last G1 trailer I want to have to buy. I can give it a pass this time because it needed a show accurate deco, but at this point the trailer changes so little mold to mold that it doesn't justify all the extra cost that comes with it IMO. When they do an eventual Ver 4, I'd like to see them just offer compatibility with this trailer and sell him both single and in a full pack for those who want it. Either that or do something really crazy with the next trailer.

Finally managed to transform the figure! It was a nightmare for me as i was rather worried that I may break some of the panels. Here are some areas to look out for:

    1. Panels on the legs. When one push or pull on any panel...do it as close to the screw or pin as possible.

    2. When pulling the two halves that have the front wheels...please note there are 2 tabs underneath (1 on each half) that tab on the waist.

    - Pull slightly up and pull apart.
    - be careful not to pull on the wheels.

*this is part of the transformation process that can lead to scratches on the gray on the waist.

    3. Under potential area is the backpack - don’t close the flap until you squeeze the top and lower halves of the figure.

    Conclusion:

    Pros:

    1. The figure looks very animation accurate. Looks aesthetically pleasing with Megatron standing beside him.

    2. Good articulation

    3. Nice extras.

    Cons:

    1. Overly complex and complicated transformation process. I doubt I will ever transform Prime back to cab mode...tbh I can’t help but feel that it takes out the fun of transforming the figure.

    2. Poor QC. I can see nub marks and paint scruffs.

Looking at this figure makes me wonder why I bother smoothing off nub marks on my Gunpla when TakaraTomy doesn’t on such a pricey figure and on their “icon”!

    3. Price. IMO this figure is way over price. It should be priced between USD$200 to USD$250 tops.

The figure doesn’t give me that sense of “value for money” when I compare it to the metal composite Gundam Origin and Char Zaku II.

That being said, I’m glad with this release all that’s left for me is collect the remaining ark crew before quitting the MP line.

@Jarrod that blue tab that has to be slid into the white channel, can it be slid up on its own, prior to bending the knee joints?

I was quoting Divide and Conquer.

    image.jpeg
Just transformed him without instructions. I'm very impressed with the engineering an understand why the plastic has to be so thin in certain areas. The mini-figure movements are a cheap date and a struggle but holding the joints will prevent a lot of breaking. I can see where the money went with Prime.

MP-10's Matrix is the same size as 44's and will fit. Only differences are cosmetic and molded.

Make sure the wheels are slid over before trying to rotate them. Another poster broke a wheel off trying too hard to push it.

No, it's part of the blue knee block. It rotates on a horizontal axis, and that's it.
