It would seem to fit better, but that ship sailed some time ago, around 1988 I believe.

No..... I spent $400+ on just Voyagers. But I wasn't asking for a damn pat on the head, those Voyagers were worth every penny IMO which was the point. Turtler or whatever the hell that re-re-retool is called, is NOT worth $60+ (I didn't even pay that much for Takara Legends Astrotrain). If you and your co-signers are cool with the ripoff then buy 30 a piece off eBay.

I'm done with this topic now. Don't let my comments give you a miscarriage moving forward.

Ok, but that still doesn't actually matter, no more now than any other time people try to bring up such irrelevant information to bolster their arguments. "Hey, I've spent money! Listen to me!"

Except you didn't say anything of the sort, but even still your only basis that these should cost less is because some other different Transformers you bought from Hasbro didn't cost as much. However, this is again Takara here, just because Hasbro for so many decades adhered to a "Voyager = Voyager", "everything must be weighed exactly in the assortment cause Wal-Mart" pricing mentality doesn't change the fact that Takara has always been more flexible, especially in the recent Legends/Selects era where one size doesn't necessary fit all especially when they make more than a few extensive changes.

Because Takara didn't make any changes or do any work on Astrotrain, they just painted him better. Plus he was released at retail which mitigated the costs. But even if Turtler wasn't an online exclusive and was produced in higher numbers, the price at retail would still have been higher, because again Takara isn't Hasbro.

Astrotrain also came out two years ago, and once again prices will always rise.

Also you're attempt at a jab shows you're still confused over what I've been trying to say to you: It doesn't matter if we're cool with it or not, and there's just no point in getting all riled up about it and making yourself miserable. Do we like paying $60 for a fancy Voyager? No. Does that matter to Takara? Also no. So, if you want that Turtler, it's $60. And $30 each per a limb. Non-negotiable, take it or leave it. But either way, get over it.

    Cool. Stay miserable.

To be fair, TT Astrotrain wasn’t an exclusive, so he was subject to being 20-30% off at Japanese etailers. It’s probably better to compare another TTMall exclusive, like... the golden lagoon guys. Starscream was 3800 yen in Japan and $45 at most US resellers. The (deluxe) Seacons are going for (wait for it) 3800 yen and include more retooling and accessories. Yet the resellers are selling them for $40 and Hasbro Pulse is selling them for $35.

So they’re actually slightly CHEAPER to get than a similarly priced figure a year ago. And with actual retooling and new accessories. And before someone pulls the exclusive card on the golden lagoon guys.... The Seacons are ALSO exclusives.

Well YoungPrime is the one that brought up his Astrotrain purchase as the gold standard for what he believes Takara Voyagers should cost, despite it not being a one-for-one same price fits all figures of the same size class situation for Takara and Japanese retail.

However, that is interesting when you look at those numbers. I also wonder what Pulse would have sold the Golden Lagoon guys for if they had carried them, and if their offering of TTMall exclusives is having any effect on how much BBTS and the rest will charge for offering those same exclusives now?

Sorry, I quoted you because it had the last mention of Astrotrain. It wasn’t directed at anyone in particular. Just trying to use actual figures and logic.

Even though they’re selling them at roughly the same price as TT, they’re not a charity. They’re likely getting them at cost plus a percentage cut, assuming they’re coming directly from the factory like everything else. Whatever deal TT and Hasbro have now probably ensures the pricing remains the same globally.

To be honest this convo should've been over 4 pages ago tension had died down and everything. Everyone gets that it's ultimately "take it or leave it" which has been concluded like 10 damn times now.

So at this point it's a case of people saying "Shut up so the rest of us can continue kissing HasTak, TT or whoever's ass" and if that doesn't work then lets take anything he says and blow it out of context to troll for a small group of people who's feelings I've hurt in the past. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My only mistake was forgetting that some of the people on this site are only 12 and using Mom's VISA card or allowance from Daddy. As if that'll govern this thread.

Note: Disregard Legends Astrotrain, he was mainly on my mind because I'm not going to swap him for that Leader class Siege version. Unless he ends up on sale later.

I’m assuming that wasn’t directed at me. I was just pointing out why they’re the price they are. I’d much rather get them for $20 a pop but it just isn’t in the cards.

And I’m not trading in my Legends Astrotrain, Blitzwing, or Octane. I like the trio.

but even then, hasbro making a profit is not a bad thing, especially when they are selling takara tomy mall exclusives with no import markup. its literally the best option for americans to get these figures :)

this reply honestly makes you sound like the 12 year old using mom's visa card or allowance from daddy.

Indeed. I just wonder if ehobby releases will be shared with Hasbro as well... or if it’s just TTMall. Granted there aren’t as many ehobby ones these days.

...heh. The last two Seacons (Tentakil and Overbite) had the same names in Japan. And I can't see Nautilator's "Lobclaw" name and not think of Bob Loblaw from Arrested Development.

Also, this picture exists and will be the first thing I try to recreate when/if they inevitably release WfC Doubledealer.

You think there will be a Lobclaw Lob Bomb attack in the comic?
