Show Z Store. Usually my go to for all bots. Shipping is free and doesn’t take much more time than getting stuff from the States (I’m in Canada).

Hmm.. While it is true, I was Gung-Ho MP44, until colored pics and the new head sculpt for TE01 showed up.
Then I bought this instead, and have never looked back, especially after the release of MP44, and those scary joints and abs. It looks like it could be very bad if any of it got broken.

Still.. I am posting in the TE01 thread..
I mean the MP44 thread has it's massive share of MP44 lovers to outweigh any critique I can muster on this guy..

    HAHAHA!! Great Pic!
    Another observation..
If someone told me Guido Guidi did this sketch of Prime for an upcoming comic, I'd not have thought twice.
also, speaking of comics.. I retouched up my Digibash for a Marvel Comics version of him.. I want a TE-01C (comic colours).

I still think the V1 head sculpt is Season 3..
Whilst the V2 is the Season 2/Movie version.
I wish someone or TE would release a season 1 version, like MP44 has..

Still a Marvel comics version would be nice. Fogged windows in a whitish grey would also help.
This customized head a board member did is amazing!!

Just ordered my TE-01 for my movie display, I already own the MS prime and am quite happy with him, I feel he is my realism prime. But I wanted a toon accurate one and looking at mp-44 and te-01 all day, TE is the winner for me. The proportions on mp-44 are odd, his torso and arms look too small.

It's like TT took the proportions from the low camera perspective drawings and didn't correct them. Also not a fan of all the gaps/screws/hinges that are just staring you in the face on mp-44.

Look forward to getting this guy in a few weeks.

E5C74318-2A0F-4255-A54D-AD23E0B29EEE.jpeg I’ve been on the TE-01 bandwagon since the beginning. MP-44 looked like a hot mess during pre-production and still to this day looks like a hot, $400+ mess.

Now if only I could get a better set of window decals. I prefer the look of the darker blue windows (which can be achieved from a decal on the inner side of the window).

True about the neck, but from what I've seen, MP44 has an extra articulation point where his head can be brought forward like MP36. Which gives him the advantage of looking downwards which TE struggles to do.

And while I don't like the look of his ab joint, it's engineering is very unique in that, they added sideways tilt as well. So far, it's the only MP to have such an articulation point.

While it may not be the cleanest looking Prime, nor the best looking from some angles, for what it does not do, it can do things much better than TE.

But TE wins out in terms of just sheer cleanliness in both modes and detail in the chest cavity.
But everything else aesthetically, are subject to ones own subjective opinion in the end.
You're gonna like it or you're gonna not like it.

Me, personally, I wished they remake Megatron every 7 years as well :D

Super excited to have MP-44 just delivered but after checking out all these boards I'm super impressed with TE-01 and wondering if I've made a mistake... my only criticism with TE-01 (looks wise) is I wish the smokestacks where a teeny tiny bit shorter.

I'm not trying to upset anyone, but after seeing MP-44 through pictures from others who have him in-hand, I'd rather have this TE over it. TE has a much cleaner look and a transformation that is interesting but not over-engineered. It seems more balanced, far less panels and gaps, and more cohesive all around. I wish the red was painted and glossy, but other than that, I like this. I chose to go with MS and I like that one as well. The Metallic Prime and Magnus are stunning. But I am tempted to get this TE as well as it is more toon than MS is.

It's a wash imo. You can either have a cleaner style with less articulation or more articulation with a thinner frame.

Both clearly singing from the same hymn sheet. In certain poses they look nearly identical.

Personally I'm rocking both. Mp44 as an early, younger cartoon Prime and TE as a more weary bulkier Movie Prime.

Now what I really wanna see is trailer armour for both and a proper partsforming Magnus.

I was never a Magnus fan as a kid but he's a character I've become enamored with as an adult (Galvatron and Cyclonus as well). I'd love to see a G1 toy style Trailer Armor set for a white version of TE-01...

If the prices were similar then I'd agree. If the quality on both is that close and one is way more expensive, it's not even a close choice for a lot of people. The only thing MP-44 has going for it now is it's actually available.
