Never having bought a cyberverse toy, i was not prepared for a lack of articulation. The elbow/knee ball joint of the titans return version is replaced with a swivel now. The legs get locked into place by tabs. Though. He does look better proportioned. He is more light grey and barely painted.

Its transforms the same as the titans as well. The arm/leg joint though is different though to lock the upper body in position so you cannot activate the gimmick

In shark mode, he looks the same, but the arms are molded in place.

If you untab his jaw from his chest and raise the arms, you can make his whole upper chest spin. The mechanism is activated by moving his back fin.

Its not a bad toy. Not my cup of tea. But okay. A solid C+

Didn’t realize he’d be that much larger. Love the classic pea green shark eyes, but that robot mode leaves a lot to be desired

I just wanted an official Gnaw/Sharkticon for troop building so this is perfect. I have the LG and Hasbro TR version already.

Yep, this picture shows the tab, and you can see where it goes on the leg on the oppersite side. Its big, but you could trim it off if annoyed you

That tab will be easily removed, I’m actually quite looking forward to having a bigger Sharkticon to be Gnaw.

Picked this one up today and I love him. Unlike the Legends class Gnaw the alt mode face parts actually tab into the legs securely for the robot mode. I did immediately remove the tabs that lock his legs in place for robot mode because they’re dumb and pointless. The gimmick sucks but come on none of you are here for that.

The arms in alt mode would have been nicer if they were articulated but I’ll take the trade off for a nice chunky lad. Only thing I’d have really wanted changing is I wish his tail could peg in horizontally but that’s minor. All in all, if you love Sharkticons you’ll love this guy.

EDIT: added robot mode pictures. Get a load of that Geewun-ass headsculpt.

Yeah the tabs feel extremely vestigal and I think the only purpose they serve is to make it easier to hold while doing the spinning gimmick.

I can confirm removing the tabs don't really change much and adds a little bit more leg articulation. I used model kits clippers to trim mine.

Y is no one talking about how they brought back good quality stickers with this release?

But seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a transformers toy with safety labels on the toy itself

I may sell my tr versions and get me a couple of these. The tr figures are a little small imo.

Unpopular opinion: The gimmick is hella fun (or is it heli-fun?).

I just got him myself, was bummed that his arms are fixed into place. But his transformation is easy, the warning labels crack me up, and he's fun to take pics of.

Picked up a Gnaw the other day. The robot mode leaves alot to be desired (like some more paint apps). But the Shark mode is primarily how he'll stay on my shelf. Aside from the arms being molded into place and lack of an articulated jaw, he looks great. Putting him with my Classics, he fits in just fine.

I also plan to put him with my TR Gnaw. I like the idea of various sized Sharkticons.

I kinda want one just to have two different sizes of Sharkticon. Let's hope he goes to five bucks on Kickin toys or soemthing
