more FT fanbois trying to throw shade, you would think they would have something better to do with their lives than go onto a competing products thread and spew stupidity. Then again, FT hasn't actually put anything out other than a repaint for a few months so they really don't have anything positive to talk about.
To be fair some of these "issues" are just one off or not widespread. Every product released will have an issue or two
Wow, this is great, so gigs has all the dinos our now. That’s awesome! I really liked this set. I have the fans toys versions, but always liked the look of these. I remember seeing slag at TFCon Toronto back in 2016 when I drove up to see welker. It was a beauty standing next to all those new reveals. I have to say that Fanstoys grinder and sovereign def stole the show for me, but slag was very impressive. Seems like so long ago now.
I have Superator and he’s great. All the while, FansToys has put out 3 figures this year, including a repaint plus a 4th figure currently on its way to sellers.
@Epykk Dyzastur hence the reason I said "a few months", which XTB has released what 3 or 4 completely new products and another 3 or 4 repaints in that same few months, if we add KFC to the mix they have released several more repaints and reworked Opticlones feet.
I have both versions and for me personally FT is a better quality figure overall. IMHO, a bigger bot does not equal to being better than another in comparison. If the tables were turned and GP had come out with smaller versions of the dinobots first and then FT came out with theirs and made them bigger then everyone would be up in arms saying that GP is not all that because they are smaller in stature. My personal take on this. Both have their merits and for me there is no winner take all in one versus the other. happy collecting!!
For me, sculpt and aesthetics goes to GP Superlator. Engineering, qc and durability of paint goes to FT Grinder X. My GP gaudenter and superlator both have paint issues. The blue visor head for Superlator is smeared with silver paint, almost like a battle damaged effect. Interestingly, the ankle tilt(or lack of) is exactly like MP-08, including the sliding mechanism.

bro,does the blue sticker on the other GP dinos have extras? can you use the side of those stickers to cut for the other dinos?
the common issue is the dino arms..let's see on the metallic if it will be the same.. I get it that people want perfect figures because they spent good money for it, but has FT never had issues on their figures? or did the iron dibots did not have any qc issues? idk because they were released ealier..
FansToys Soar’s first run had qc issues on the legs. They supplied die-cast pieces with a different figure as a fix and installed them on re-issues. My Superator doesn’t seem to have any issues. I know the first run of Guttur did, but that’s been fixed and another re-issue of that guy is on the way. As long as the companies have a remedy, then it’s fine for me.
I agree only if that is the only way of getting the parts. However, i think most, if not all 3p companies offers more than 1 way of getting the parts. For gp, you can always contact them for replacement parts. Only problems is it may take a while.
