That’s weird though, why would they include it with Hoist when the cassettes aren’t even released yet? Why not release it with them?

forces you to buy the figure the "complete" it like what DX9 did with their Orion Pax - dismembered the poor feller amongst the Stunticons.

It’s one thing to have a BAF to get someone to buy more figures, but a tiny accessory?

I think it might be something else than a lance for Rumble. Edit: but it probably is. Just weird, and I hope they don’t pull crap like this on a regular basis. Could have just been an error.

IF included Drift's great sword with their Overlord, but still included the sword with their Drift. Maybe it is something similar? MS may still intend to include it with their Rumble or Ramjet.

IF included the sword with Overlord because of this:

well that was fast... local sellers (our sellers) are somewhat unpredictable. some can get it very quick, some takes months.

True that! Preordered a MAFEX Evangelion Unit 01 from this one seller and I'm STILL waiting for it as other sellers already have them available in retail! It's maddening :banghead:

I'm having trouble opening the head flap and fishing the head out when transforming back to bot mode. I know there's this micro-mini-lever to help raise the flap, but the fit has been tight these first few transformations that it isn't really helpful. Got any tips? :p

Hoist arrived today. I have mixed feelings so far. I like that they made his bot mode so different to Trailblazer. Amazing that their alt modes are so similar. That said he's kind of fidgety compared to Trailblazer. Trailblazer's head has a tendency to slip back. That just seems to be the default position for Hoist. Every time I move him his head ends up flopping back. I wish there was something there to hold it up . I wish the roof piece that hides his head in alt mode somehow flipped in instead of back. Then there would be something to catch the head. Oh well!

My main other annoyance so far is the side panels that in the toon were attached to the backs of his arms. I wish they had made less effort to mirror the tune and just created a clever way for them to fold inside.

He's not an awful figure by any stretch of the word but he doesn't hold up as well (for me) as the others. Maybe my feelings will mellow after I've had some time with him. Right now I've got his eyes drying so that his face won't look so dead at least. LOL

Edit to add: I think the side panels are mainly messing with my latent OCD. they are always in slightly different wonky positions. Ha!

i feel the same way...that head seems like it could have been designed better...there's nothing to hold it from flopping backwards into the body, just slight friction. they should have used that giant flap behind his head to fill in that gap, it just kind of dangles there as well.

I'd probably do the same thing. LOL

When I first got him out of the box, I did keep looking for a way that panel folded in instead of hanging off the back... But then I realized the way it was hinged there wasn't enough room for it to go any other way. Trailblazer's head is comparatively firm, not perfect but much less likely to just drop back.

Damn it, hurry up China Post. Two-and-a-half weeks now my Hoist has been in flight from Pudong... I'd be worried if it wasn't coming from HZJ.

Ah, just checked again - it has landed in Sydney today :)  Remind me never to fly with Shanghai Airlines...

Hoist looks so much better with a little paint on the visor.

...And he's here. Ugly little sod, but I'm quite impressed, especially with just how little the figure is like Trailbreaker. Very nice indeed :)

The only criticism I have is with the arms on which the long panels are attached - it is not immediately evident that they hinge in the middle. There was no visible gap between the halves of the hinge, and the hinges were very stiff indeed. Oh, and the stem for the projector was put in backwards and was a right bugger to remove and replace - the first assembly error I've had on a Magic Square toy.

It took a whole month to get here - I know people like to say that SpeedPak is slow, but I've not had a parcel sent via SpeedPak take anywhere near this long to get from China to Australia.

Got my Hoist today.. he's a nice little guy, great transformation, but I have to say, I'm really sad how dark and pukey the green is. Would have preferred something more bright and poppy. That, and the hood could have been a tad more short, and /or rounded, and paint the damn hubcaps, MS!!!

Has anyone tried painting MS figures? Or just gloss coating them or something? Sideswipe and now Hoist feel like they're short changed by the matte plastic.
