    Limit 5.

And bbts is not selling him! They’re selling him through Takaras mall. Meaning they are having to go through Takara to order him and nobody knows what cap Takara has put on preorders.

Retailers are not going through the haslab crowdfund and if they are they’re only ordering 5

Ah I see, from what I've been reading here some people made it seem like it pended on their card for days at a time.

When the dust settles, nothing will really change. 8000 get their expensive toy, everyone moves on. I hope none of the ill will from this figure continues to linger around, because It makes me sad to see adults squabbling over this. Business is business, and the designers do what they must to appease the greedy suits at the top. This is reality, and I think we should really just be open and roll with the punches, because really, we've got it pretty good compared to other collecting circles; the gi joe community has been crumbling from a mainline drought since 2016. So just take it from some loser teen and chill out. Play some runescape or halo until this blows over, whatever, just remember, It's a hobby, not a lifestyle.

Not entirely, some toys skyrocket in value after their pre orders end. This thing might not be as high on his priorities, so he'd rather go for what he wants more.

Maybe it's some kind of grizzly lottery. Of the 8k sold, 1 to 3 of those customers will die! That's the true payment for Unicron!

If that’s the case, then retailers orders are definitely already in.

I don't see anywhere on the BBTS page where it says it's specifically ordered through Takara's Mall, was that stated somewhere else? Mostly curious.

Also, I can't imagine Hasbro making stores with preorders enter them 5 at a time, the limit 5 is for end-users I would imagine. I certainly don't know that for sure, but if I ran a business that had a relationship where I purchased directly from Hasbro normally, and they wanted me to sit and enter order 5 at a time. I probably wouldn't bother. Time is money, especially for smaller online or retail stores.

That's a good point that we should all remember. The GI Joe fans would kill to be having a discussion over whether a $600 USS Flag is worth the money.

The reason they wait is because there would be the initial hold on their accounts. Let's say they had 100 orders. They would have an initial hold for $60k. Even if their banks only hold for a few hours (some will hold for several days) that is a lot of capital being held up. They will pay at the very last moment. That is what businesses do.

This was all covered weeks ago when Takara announced that they would be releasing unicron if it gets funded. The day they announced it, the preorders for retailers were put up.

Again it was covered that the online retailers are for Takaras exclusive. They’re even the same price as Takara’s

Go one page back and someone posted the response they received from BBTS regarding this. There’s no indication of these being sourced through Takara. They specifically mention Hasbro and clearly state their order will not be added until the very end.

Based on BBTS' response below, Hasbro doesn't want them till the end.

These two responses are at odds with each other and sort of encapsulate the problem here on this thread with conflicting info.

I like this idea of some sort of Toy News "live coverage" during the final day or the final hours. I think that would be exciting, maybe a youtube live event, or a podcast of some form.

Years ago when The Force Awakens came out, I remember listening to a Star Wars podcast that was recording live on the day when the new SW movie toys were to be released at stores. It was a pretty cool show with "reporters" calling in from various store locations across the country. There were calls from various TRU parking lots where people were lined up, and live reports both about toy stock at certain stores around the country, and some fun comments from fans who had braved the lines and were trying to get new stuff. It really captured a lot of the excitement of the time for me.

I'd love to see something similar for the Unicron project. We would just need someone to step up, maybe a podcast crew?

There is no conflict though. We have a response directly from BBTS regarding how their order will be handled. The other response was speculation.
