was it one of the tire tracks? The one on mine had a small peg that the wheel was supposed to peg into. That's what broke on mine.
I didn’t take him apart or anything, i just spread his legs, saw the joint and got some Pledge floor polish, dropped a few drops on there that’s it. I’d recommend doing this for the back too if yours is loose.
That's... too dirty... dissassemble the leg and just paint the inner joint to get tigher articulation. That's what I do in all my figures (not only in TF).
But what about the pin oint for the feet? they move forward WAY too easily and the figure tries to fall down so easily, How do I do that?
I will tell you the same I wrote to another user: There's a cheap tool called "Pin remover tool", with a little hammer (PVC hammer recommended) you can "easily" remove the pin with patiente. Then paint the hole, let it dry a few days, put back the pin and here we go, fixed (sometimes the pin removes the paint, but you will notice an improvement on the articulation anyway).
I hope I'm missing something, but is there a way to lock the swinging hinge assembly for his spikey chest portions in tank mode?
I don't think so. Those are supposed to be mine removers, right? If so, they would need to lower to scoop out mines in the ground anyway, so that playability should mirror the practical purpose of it's real life counterpart.
What is even the purpose of those hinges? Behind the mine sweepers, there's these little swinging hinges that I think is what he was talking about, and I could never figure out how to angle them
Got mine in last night. I was expecting to be disappointed but the quality is much nicer than expected. Surprised no hip ratchet joints on this guy but he does still hold poses well. Great piece for the price.
Those hinges that are mostly odd in robot mode but must hang straight down in vehicle mode? They are the leftover pieces that were present on the Voyager SS mould. In robot mode, they oriented pointing outwards and locked the minesweeper armatures on robot mode. On this KO, those armatures compress and the sweeper points tab to the chest, but on the SS they just jut outwards. The hinge pieces run parallel to the armatures and yeah, they lock those up so they stay put on the SS. I just leave them hanging down in robot mode as I feel it fills out the lower torso robot bulk a bit. You can pretty much do whatever you want with them. I dont think they can still work to lock up the armatures as the moulding seems different and seems not to fit when running parallel anymore, plus they require you extend the armatures outwards in front of the robot as much as possible and I don't like that look.
I just dabbled some clear gloss paint into the joint, without taking it apart, and then wiped away the excess. Tightened up the ankles nicely without any disassembly
I'm here to over compensate for something, not be part of a combiner and chew bubblegum. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
Well, the last time i broke a Transformer i was around 8 years old lol... I don't think gluing this back will work. At least there's another peg, so it still holds in place in robot mode. Anyway, be careful when transforming him lol.
