Thanks man! If this is true, it's Hasbro's decision and was taken completely out of the hands of the retailers. That's....an interesting call. Why Hasbro cares who pays the bill is an odd concern (if I'm reading that right).

    Ummm... Wait, what?
I used a Revolut Mastercard to pay, and that 625$ was charged right away.

and a day or two later it was refunded provided you ordered through pulse. its been widely covered that pulse utilizes an authorization charge in the full amount of an order to make sure your payment method is legit, then a few days later it "gets refunded" (it was never an actual charge) and then when the item is finally ready it will do the actual charge

Sure I could swing it but I’m saving it for later when Hasbro jacks up the prices on regular retail figures since they know they can get away with this!

Yeah it hard to say. The world changed but it just adapted to things like that. I remember when you went in for a job (and they were serious about finding out about you) they'd do a criminal background check, maybe check your credit and call your references. Now most of then ALSO check and see if they can find you on Facebook and all the social sites to see if they can find what kind of person you are online and afterhours. Right or wrong, I've seen people not get positions because of stuff that was found online about them on social media yet they pretty much shined at the interviews.

I think THAT's the way the future got merged into the past for the world. As the younger people take our place, those people are still not going to go "Oh dude...here is a picture of him with his bong! We totally have to hire this dude bro!" (well maybe some companies but not real ones) :p

All due respect, LS, based on the two articles you yourself linked, @Rodimus Prime isn't necessarily wrong, nor is his point buried in footnotes: IP theft is mentioned as one of the reasons for trade tensions in the Guardian article you linked, alongside the trade deficit, currency manipulation, unfair government subsidies, etc.

And though the USA Today article argues that Trump should focus on IP, it's clear that that's already an important factor, as the $50 billion tariff on technology goods resulted directly from a U.S. investigation into China's IP practices (Tariff wars: Duties imposed by Trump and U.S. trading partners - Reuters). I'm not saying you're wrong about the trade deficit being a big reason; I'm saying that this reason isn't unimportant either.

It's understandable that you'd want to get some feedback from, well, the Unicron thread people. But 1) we're crazy people, and 2) important wallet decisions you're not sure about should probably be run by your spouse/partner, not us, if they're to be run by anyone at all.

It took about a year and half for MP-44's thread to reach ~1,081 pages and only a little over a month for this thread to reach ~582 pgs.

This thread does not disappoint. I guess some people will be happy no matter the outcome!

I agree. I think the small spikes by dozens are online store orders being added slowly. It doesn’t make sense to me that online stores would wait until the last minute to submit orders, not likely people would cancel the order at the last minute and lose the non-refundable $150. It’s not in Hasbro’s interest to delay the submission either, they would like to show higher backers so that more people would want to get on the train.

Just wondering, has anyone tried asking these stores if they've added their submissions? That could clear up a lot.

The reason online stores would wait is so they don't have to send multiple updates to Hasbro. MUCH easier to do everything at once.

Very realistic expectation. Pulse alone doesn't seem to cut it.

This gets made you know at least one person of the 8,000 is gonna die before it’s released. That’s gonna be a helluva surprise showing up at a family members doorstep

But why would they be placing orders in the dozens if they have a hundred or so orders? The store is HasLab’s customer, not the end buyer, so it isn’t as if they have to input individual customer info. It’s 500 Unicrons to ship and bill to BBTS.

Jesus that’s macabre. Also sounds a bit like the plot of a movie. Who is it going to be?
