I remember seeing an engrish version of this and I believe that if you got yours after April 2019 then you don't need the replacement parts. I got mine in Feb 2019 and I didn't noticed any difference between the parts either but I replaced them anyhow because YOLO. With the replacement parts and the knee add on mine transformed from jelly to a pretty solid figure.

Can confirm changing the replacement parts is a pain.

 

How do the addons increase the stability? For mine a lot of the joints have play in them, either between ratchet 'lock's or just the joints themselves? Especially the grey connectors on scrapper and mixmaster to the legs of long haul which are wobbly.

 

Swapping out the parts is a nuisance but not difficult at all the pictures alone are fine to follow without needing to translate the writing.

 

Not sure I really follow your question but can you confirm your mixmaster side looks exactly like the photos posted above and the other leg you are trying to connect looks like the photo aswell ? The extensions have to be facing the right way up aswell.

 

Sorry, I may have worded it poorly. I'm not actually talking about connecting the leg extensions to build the combined mode. That works, no problem.

I meant with all of the guys in vehicle mode, just as separate vehicles. Like the forearms that hook up to Scavanger and Bonecrusher as little trailers, I had expected the new leg extensions also to hook up as little trailers behind their respective vehicles.

But maybe they weren't designed like that. That's fine, I was just wondering if maybe I was missing something.

 

Ah gotcha. Yeah they are not meant to be connected in vehicle mode. Likewise the G1 head cannot be "hidden" in vehicle mode.

This is great. I hopefully get mine in the next couple of weeks. I’d feel much more comfortable making the deals with a video showing how to do it. If anyone does this, I’d be much indebted!!

 

I much prefer the original head. Wasn't interested in the G1 head anyway.

 

Got mine today. Pretty happy. I think he looks quite a bit better now. But like others have said my OS bruticus now looks small. What option do i have with defensor? OS MT and GT are too small i reckon.

 

The figure is an interpretation of the character anyway, not accurate to the G1, only based on the original cartoon. This one ir more detailed and mechanic, with agressive aesthetics, like a beast!!. The open mouth head is brighter and more expressive. But it's a pain change it again haha.

 

Devastator is one of the few G1 designs I would never want a 'toon accurate representation of, because the character model looks like crap.  

 

Me too, every episode has errors, cartoon accurate they said hahaha.

 

Yeah, he’s my least favorite G1 Combiner, but thanks to GT’s design, I’m obsessed with this guy and his variants. Especially Jinbao’s bigger monster. Though my yellow Jinbao has been stuck in customs for two weeks now:/

Question for those who have the straight-up NBK KO, no OS: is there a good way to keep his joints from being so floppy? Just floor polish on the ball joints, or is there a Shapeways kit I don't know about?
