So it looks like Hasbro is doing away with all plastic in the packaging, including the windows, and finding another way for collectors and consumers to see the product. Hasbro Says It’s Game Over For Plastic Packaging
And a Punisher's murdered family pack. Throw a sniper shot Captain America head too while we're being f$cked up.

I don't see how they can use anything outside of just having an honors system that you won't take the toy out of the giant hole in the box.
I was thinking they might go with that cheap paper thin, plastic wrap kinda stuff you sometimes see used for box windows that's cut to the shape and just glued in place. I just don't see them managing to eliminate all plastic and still have a window, unless it's just a big hole as you said, or a cardboard tray like some of the kiddie Transformers and such come in. Either way the figure and BAF parts swappers will be in heaven.
Thanos is great a bit scary with the ab crunch but he's still altogether and well his joints are a bit loose, but no biggie. He does look awesome next to Darkseid.
I knew about this but I didn't see this particular article before. There are two things that are a big problem for me in the article. First, they state that their intent is to make the toys easier to remove from their boxes which is a REALLY BAD IDEA. I'm sure we've all seen toy swapping at least once and outright theft like missing BAF pieces or empty Botbot bubbles (though toy swapping is theft too). It's also bad when that fact is mentioned in the "Collector's Concerns" section since easy-open can just as easily translate to "gets wrecked easily". Hopefully you didn't that want toy mint! Though the organization of that section probably wasn't Hasbro fault; it was just unfortunate placement. The second problem which I believe is the more egregious of the two, is that from the way they're talking, Hasbro has NO FREAKING IDEA on what the new packaging will look like. All they said is that smart people can probably solve it. ...Okay? But any ideas as to how? Or you could, yunno, ask some of your consumers for ideas? ...Hello? Anyone there? But anyway, that was little more ranty than I'd planned so I gotta bring the discussion back to Marvel Legends somehow... Uh, does Cannonball remind anyone else of Cid Highwind? That's all I can see when I look at him.
It'll be funny and hilarious if Hasbro make a Marvel Legends Blind Bag of sort just to be "green". Anyways, I can't imagine Marvel Legends having no window to see the condition of the figure. Unless they go Gunpla style boxes. I'll predict this will be they're gonna go green: - Single Carded (ala retro) - Box Style (ala 80th singles), w/windows running along the figure's silhouette and figure tray made from molded recycled paper like those from egg tray's/gaming console's. - Single Carded (ala retro) but no figure trays. Have you seen Super7's Robotech and Street Fighter? shake-able figures inside the window
LOL @ the collectors who are like "Heeeeey saving the environment shouldn't be as important as our display boxes!"
LOL @ the collectors thinking a few plastic windows on some toy boxes is saving the environment. Just forget the oil wasted producing them in countries with no environment or labor laws, and transporting them over the ocean, and shipping them one item at a time through the mail because distribution and storefront software have been so broken for so long. There's virtue signaling to be done! Plastic baaaad!
Yes. every little effort no matter how small still counts. - strawless fast food chains - re-useable mugs/cups on coffee joints - re-useable eco cutlery sets I just can't see a Marvel Legends w/out a window in favor of going green. Just imagine on Transformers
Meh. To me Transformers are more vehicle toy then action figure. And Star Wars has been putting their vehicle toys in windowless boxes since the 70s and no one blinks at it.
that said, how are the quantities of Fantastic Four members in your Walgreens? If i'll start to get one member, who's the best to get 1st and last? How's Silver Surfer's number?
I fail to see why it matters. My boxes go to the trash bin all of the time, but it is bs for the MIB/MOC collectors. It's not going to help the environment one way or another.
