Sounds like it's more luck of the draw at this point as a number of people have reported not having problems. I may try my luck with an exchange to see what happens, since there's stock left to do such. If I get lucky, great. If I get the same exact issue, at least I can get around it. So long as it's not already stressed or broken out of the box and Sideswipe is fine, I'll call it a win at that point. I'm still deciding whether or not to bother since I didn't notice any other issues like mold flash etc. But I can definitely understand people not wanting to have to worry about that possible hassle. It's not as if one's paying just $20 for a standalone Slamdance. $50 is a bit different. Not that's it's acceptable at any price point. Transforming toys made for ages 8 and up should be able to actually transform with normal use without breaking.

It looks like Primal Sabbath just posted his review listing some of the issues others have mentioned.

Got my Amazon sets in today and paranoidly opened this one to check Slam Dance.

Got the ankle stiffness but the hot water trick helped me move it. It is indeed a problem of getting stuck when the foot is fully flat. Haven't decided if I'm gonna shave some plastic or not, since my copy works for the most part if I don't bend the ankle to make the foot fully flat.

So is anyone else curious as to what the fuck happened with the QC on this set? And why Flywheels was fine but not Slamdance?

I took apart both of the feet and broke one connection peg on the left-side ankle, but at least after filing down the ankle joint the feet moving with less tenstion. My copy of Slamdance will not be able to live up to his name of being able to dance.

I see some of the set reviews on Amazon are now mentioning Slamdance's leg issue, but one reviewer's other comment about Raindance caught my attention:

"Unfortunately both in the set that I returned, and in the one I just received, one of his wings is loose to the point that it fell off when removing the figure from the package"

Only one of the seven reviews mentioned this. Hadn't seen any complaints of it before, but I may need to check mine later, just in case. Anyone else noticed any significant wing looseness?

Maybe we'll get a repaired repaint later named "Dubstep". lol

One of my wings is loose in the sense that it moves without much force needed, but it stays in place for the most part. The other one seems to have clicks in certain places.

My Slamdance doesn’t have any issue except for a slightly tight transformation joint at the left foot. It’s thankfully not an issue as long as you’re gently applying pressure.

It’s also for sale if anyone’s interested!

Really wanted a remake of Slamdance, but he looks odd with the red & blue portions reversed. If I did get this set, I'd sell off Sideswipe.

So this is the siege g2 fugue equipped with the spiked tires from the MP g2 figure?

If so, that’s one real roundabout way of getting the look, but it’s hard to argue with the results.

I believe that picture is a digibash, judging by the white border around the tires and how the colours on Slamdance look.

Well I kinda already have MP Sideswipe, which Siege Sideswipe appears to be based on, so it might be a smidge redundant? But I might grab this pack one day for the G2 colors.

That said, the whole thing about Slamdance has me worried. Any pro tips on Slamdance's thing?

    Have him see a urologist?

Seriously though, I haven't had any issues with Slamdance's ankles like some others have had. YMMV kind of thing I guess.

Ah. Pardon my ignorance. I looked at both the MP and Siege ones and they seem very similar at a glance.

Does anyone know if Slamdance's breakage issue is pretty much fixed? I seem to have noticed Slamdance's issues may be related to a specific bad batch from all the comments I've found, and even TFWiki lists it has being the early release. I might want to gift a set to my brother but I'd rather not risk a broken Slamdance, for myself I can work around it.
