Gonna have to disagree. Many also thought the Romeo Juliet law scene was funny, as well as several other pervasive tired examples that have been brought up countless times. . .The bayverse is dead and does not need to be resurrected-at all. . .

Personally, I'd love to see the same caliber of character development and storytelling given to the Transformers films that other cinematic properties such as the MCU, and even examples like St. Elsewhere, Saving Private Ryan, Citizen Kane, and other media like that, have. Even though the TFs have soon-to-be-not-plastic counterparts (toys), that doesn't negate the need for good filmmaking, writing, storytelling and character development. Travis Knight and Christina Hodson were a good start in that direction. . .

I'd still question Christina Hodson as a writer.

Looking forward to that Birds of Prey movie she's writing.

I’ve watched a few of the Marvel movies and found then to be quite lacking in character development. Plain and one dimensional would describe most, if not all of them. I’m not quite sure where the narrative of great character development in Marvel movies came from. Is it because they tell jokes when things are supposed to be serious?

Unpopular opinion 1. I did watch Avenger Infinity War. Wow it was not good. Plodding, dragging, all over the place, too much haha. All the things you hated about the Last Knight were here but don’t forget the cardinal rule. You can’t bash Marvel

Unpopular opinion 2. The Marvel movies aren’t nearly as good as everyone thinks. And the Transformers movies aren’t nearly as bad as everyone thinks.

Again, I’ve not seen all the Marvel movies. You couldn’t pay me to watch a movie with a D level superhero like Ant Man. Those are my thoughts on what I’ve seen. Plus no Marvel superhero would be a match for any Transformer. All the Marvel guys would have to stop in the middle of the battle and get their humor in and at that point, case closed.

    You know, it hit me.
If Disney actually manage to buy out Hasbro, and actually incorporate the Transformers into the MCU, then they could do the same with Rom, Micronauts & GI Joe. Since they were adapted into comics by Marvel, and are currently owned by Hasbro.

I love Crossovers, so incorporating the Transformers into the MCU would be awesome. A loose adaptation of the first Marvel Transformers comics would be nice.

However, there is one Hasbro IP that I would love to see even more in the MCU than the Transformers. Looking at you, Rom.

I’d really like Transformers to flourish in its own universe.
However, the popcorn flick attitude, each film has carried makes people tired!
    (Except Bumblebee!!!)

Marvel movies are released at such a rate and I’d only say a good handful are great!

Though, I’m sure Disney would do Transformers brilliantly. I just wouldn’t want it with the current MCU.

It’s only us on these forums that really appreciate Transformers!

Transformers and such IPs like GI joe, Micronauts and Rom have more ties with Marvel universe in the comics.

...screw it, with Parker gone now I'd just use Lang somehow to tie them in. Then have him go Giant to help the 'Bots in the big climactic battle till the 'Cons start focusing their special abilities to put him back in check before the 'Bots pull off a final victory...and his help gets the the 'Bots to thinking that indeed it might not hurt to have a BIGGER gun in the stable for next time, so to speak (hinting at a possible addition to the cast in a sequel - Omega, Jetfire, the Dinos, maybe even Ultra Magnus, who knows?).

I think that final paragraph is the only one that I’d say is false. There are characters in the Marvel universe - Magneto for starters - who would be able to fight the Transformers very effectively. Like sure, Captain America and Black Widow aren’t in with a chance, but the power scale in comics can be pretty broad.

Hard for that to happen considering Thanos is dead.

1 in 14,000,605 and it STILL happened. And that was WITH the time-clone card being played.

    He's dead. Leave him be.

They need a time to the franchise fit in the MCU.

I think they should focus on making good Transformers movies. I'll settle for that.
