I totally get the frustration, but it’s just the nature of the beast. Hopefully the characters you want redone will have their day.

Siege? No but Transformers in general you can find some numbers if you do a bit of digging (link enclosed). Take that in conjunction with the fact they extended the Siege line for another wave, it is logical to conclude Siege was likely a significant reason for the Transformers profit increase.

I've said this before to a good friend of mine, every character will get their day eventually.

Nobody thought we'd ever get a new Ultra Magnus after CW, but lo and behold, we did.

Well said. For all you know, the next commander-class character might be Broadside:

leader-sized main bot for a believable plane altmode, and then some booster parts ala Shockwave to create the Carrier altmode, all in a nice commander box like jetfire. Hell, the carrier mode doesn't need to be that huge even- just some smart parts folding like ultra magnus' legs and we have a carrier for all the battlemasters and micromasters to be on it.

I know broadside's been released under TR, but if astrotrain gets a totally new design, why not the wrecker?

    ... A guy can dream :(

I'm still dreaming of a catalog photo toy proto/UK comic deco Broadside, preferrably voyager but, if it has to be Commander, so be it!

based on astrotrain, i dont think any legacy triple changers will need additional parts to be fully functional. astrotrain is sold with extra parts that add to his modes, but if you take them away the still turns into a train engine and a shuttle

Yeah, I suppose it can be done. Hell, I'm surprised that astrotrain's parts are actually functional for storage to a degree, as opposed to armor on/armor off on magnus, or leader prime for that matter. The pauldron storage on leader prime's armor is clever though.

Honestly, I'm feeling like Warden's team just warming up on the designs for the characters. Makes it more intriguing to see the eventual Sunstreaker vs. Sideswipe! really crossing my fingers that sunstreaker's altmode is similar to sideswipe's front and back!

I'd actually like a new Watch Robo. But Time Warrior would be a waste imo. The original toy is good enough as is.

what about Kaltor, Autoceptor and Deceptor, that are somehow not related to perceptor in anyway or the best two transformers characters: Natron and freezon

Broadside was pretty big in bot mode. He might just be Jetfire-sized as a Commander. Either way, Broadside is toy/comic Broadside, right? We don't have a Sunbow Broadside yet. >:3

Indeed, your wish might not be too far off. I feel like one of the reasons Astrotrain was remade so quickly is that a) he had a headmaster gimmick forced on him and b) many fans were very vocal in their displeasure of how the final figure looked. Thus a Siege version offered a nice chance to fix those issues.
Does that sound like another Triple-changer that we know?

I love Beast Wars, and I’d be all over reinterpretations like that. An Airazor-Tigatron combiner is genius.

Besides, in the 3p world there’s all sorts of show accurate BW things on the way, from MP Tigerhawk and TM2 Megatron to legends Blackarachnia.

Ah, Ignore that one, it's from the UK reprints. They altered him into a generic robot to not have his only US cameo which would contradict his presence on Cybertron with the Wreckers in the UK-original material.

I was looking at recent shipments out of Vietnam. A new Generations selects figure is starting to ship. It has a Hasbro Product number that is completely new and doesn't match any "officially" revealed figures product numbers. Sadly I can't tell who the figure is since it is simply listed as "E8379AS00 DESC. TRA GENERATIONS SELECTS ACTION FIGURE". It easily Could be Cromar or Hotshot though. Edit I Found Cromar's product code and it's not the same as the mystery figure, leaving Hotshot as the last possible suspect.

Not sure if it's been mentioned or not, but who here is hoping for a Leader Class Roadbuster with removeable armor that can attack in vehicle mode? Feels like it'd be a great step up from the Thrilling 30 Roadbuster, and might actually be a good replacement for FP's Roadbuster.

How likely do we think a new Blaster is? Just read The Smelting Pool for the first time and I NEED a toy of him, but the Titans Return one is too big.

I'd plotz for a Commander class 'Buster with a Mugen Calibre jeep mode scaled to seat Battle/Micromasters with G1 loadout homage C.O.M.B.A.T. gear.

I think Commander would be way too big, but I'd love that idea with a Leaderclass release.
