Sorta off topic but does anyone know if the Netflix siege series is going to use these designs in the show? I’ll be a little put off if they just steal the 3D models from the prime wars trilogy and not this toy line that the show is based on.
Nice to see the final product actually manages to pull off the look as well as the mocked up cad models did. Good on Hasbro for going with this aesthetic for a few figures - hopefully it goes over well enough that they consider doing an entire lines worth of product with this look. As far as gimmicks go, a cell shading would be a neat theme for a years worth of figures.
They look like the PS4 G1 game version... Very nice. How much it would be the price tag on them? I will buy both to put them in my shelves...
I put in a pre-order for the cell shaded Optimus, although not really a big fan of this look I do think Optimus here does pull it off nicely, that and I really love that mold!
Anyone know where to buy these in Canada? The Walmart Canada site does not seem to list them. Robot Kingdom has crazy shipping and the EBay prices are out to lunch.

Man I like him, but like many cell shaded figures, he kinda looks better from certain angles and terrible from other angles. Good attempt though. Will buy.
Man I hate this "cell shade" concept. Trying to pull off something that the sunlight is already doing for you is beyond stupid. If they wanted the figures to shine, give them a nice metallic deco like the Takara United line had.
Making the figures shine isn't the point of this aesthetic, the point is to imitate the drawn artstyle of the original cartoon, metalic paint wouldn't achieve that, Granted I have seen cel shaded paint done better
I\'m not over keen on the cell shading , but that doesnt put me off as much as the wierd headlight window things above Optimus Primes front windows .
Wal*Mart exclusives in the US, generally available in Hong Kong, divided uo between the UK specialist stores.
I did. And the second one (I hope it's not the finale one) looks terrible. It looks like a white triangle made in Microsoft Paint is stamped on the faceplate.
I hope that, one day, we\'ll just get some of this range of figures, without cruddy \"battle damage\", or cell-shading. I hear that some OSKO Prime and Meg figures are coming out (albeit with less regular paint apps than I would like).
