    On another note,

I contacted XTB miss Zou and Keith regarding my snapped deadend.

Both were very helpful and replaced a large part of Deadend for me. I paid $5 postage.

I received the parts yesterday and was actually very fun to swap out the pieces.
I have now fixed it and am so happy with XTB and Keith. I will always buy from XTB because of this great service. (And their robots are freakin awesome)

One question though - anyone know how I get the white square chest piece to swap on to my new chest part? Answers great fully received.

Might be a case of pulling it off and gluing it in place, surprised you didn't get that piece as part of your replacement?

I was surprised with how much I had to replace.
The new body required just the arms from the elbows down, the head, and the windscreen and hood. Everything else is brand new.
I didn't even notice the chest plate, my 3 year old son did!

    Yes.

To be fair, I already have that part, I just need to figure out how to remove it without damaging it.

imho, if the part is not screwed or socketed on, it should come pre-installed with it. There is no reasonable expectation for an end user to be capable of doing R&R on pin joints or glued on parts.

Well shit. I did the mod as soon as I got mine in the 2nd batch from Netclow, never tried to force it once, but now my right shoulder is beginning to develop a small crack. Been checking mine everyday for the past week, and it's finally starting today. Gonna leave a comment on 598's transformation video and see if that gets a response.

Add me to the list @Autobrat Leader.

Every spare part or repair I have had to do from eBay or genuine toy shops have all included pin removals etc.
I've had no problem doing these myself, I was a bit nervous the first one I did, but after that it's not phased me at all.

It would be nice to try to add to the list the people who don't have the cracked shoulders issue too, so we can "estimate" or at least have an educated guess about the percentage of it.

I've only seen 5 people at most chime in with no issues. Typically, people who are happy don't take the time to voice their opinions.

I have just found I have this exact same problem (as well as the other cracks, pics posted on the previous page)

Feel free to add me to the list.

I've not contacted XTB about this yet. I've not long known about it.
    Should I bother them?

Maybe we can get XTB to give us total production numbers as well so we can get an exact number of units with defects.

Anyone has successfully replaced the thigh? I can't even take them apart as the connection point to the lower leg is pinned through

If you don't contact them they can't fix it, everyone needs to contact their sellers and x-transbots or nothing will get done.

This is just one site. I truly believe if everyone that bought these checked them that you would find the problem is far more widespread. If there are ~60 people here that have posted there is a problem I am ready to believe it is more like 600 or more. Both shoulders need to be included with Gravestone with a problem this widespread. Thank you so much for taking the time to track this. It helps everybody.

FUCKNUGGETS!!! ADD ME TO THE LIST PLEASE !!! after seeing that it's just appeared on other peoples thought i would check mine that had no crack's! , this has been transformed once the day i got it and left on the display shelf untouched with no mod and this has just fucking appeared out of nowhere so add me to the list please , right shoulder cracked
and also looks as if there is a very small hairline on the bottom of the left shoulder

i have not even installed the front car bit that snapped yet

    bought from tfs-express

is everyone contacting xtb customer service on their own or is this going to be an email with everyone affected added?

i'm wondering where we have had hot weather in the uk the screw has expanded slightly and cracked the obviously weak plastic? because this was not there before and as said it's not been touched since it was put in my display cabinet

I have to believe that heat isn't a significant contributing factor. While it has been hot this summer, my collection is in a room that is air conditioned at 70 most of the day. If it would get hot enough in that room to make screws swell when the AC isn't on, I would have have expected to find at least one out of the other hundred figures in my collection to have cracked as well. I haven't even had any of my NECA Aliens fall over this year, and I swear those things' joints turn to chewed gum if the temperature gets above sweater and mitten temperature.

I'll say again I can bet my left testicle that it's a problem with the entire batch i.e. every single unit. If a unit doesn't have cracks yet, it will. The material used in combination with the tiny parts means that failure is a certainty. Either now, or in the future. Plastic will dry up and become even worse so it's gonna happen.
