What I just realized is that SS Mixmaster is the only SS Constructicon that has a licensed vehicle mode. He has the Mack bulldog and the Mack name on the front of his truck. All the other SS Constructicons just have close approximations.

Leader Class Shockwave, finally! He looks pretty good and accurate to the DOTM CGI design. My custom leader class Shockwave won't be going anywhere (in fact, I'll probably bring him to display at work once I move into my new office so I guess he will be going somewhere :D ).

DOTM still remains my favorite of the Bay movies so Shockwave is a must have for me. Brains and Wheelie are very cool little bonuses, along with the U.S. paratrooper.

Got my preorder set up for Megs, Scavenger, and Shockwave on Pulse! Disappointed that Mixmaster wasn't also listed. I have a feeling Hasbro is going to do the same as they did with Long Haul: not list Mixmaster til the moment of release.

I'm glad to see more of the Decepticon characters be introduced. The Constructicons we obviously saw coming, but Shockwave is definitely the real prize here. I love how they retained his tank mode from the original DOTM Voyager, but made his overall aesthetic more in line with movie design.

TF1 Megs has to be my most questionable of the line. He almost looks like a combination of the previous two versions. Those legs look too much like the Leader DOTM. Still, overall the bot mode doesn't care much kibble.

It looks like 2020 is shaping up to be a good year in the Studio Series line. It's still early, but we've only seen one remold in the form of WWII Hot Rod. I just hope the later waves will feature more of the Autobots that have gone overlooked. A lot of us are still clamoring for Dino and Que, even a few calls for the Twins. And while he may have been a traitor, I'm itchin' to see a new Voyager Sentinel Prime.

Finally, I think that will be awesome, can\'t wait to get Studio Series Mixmaster, Megatron (2007), Shockwave and Scavenger.

I don't think so. Studio series doesn't scale at all with Mpm Prime or other MPMs plus more he's accurate than the studio series.

Both versions worth owning. Studio series has a cleaner back due to wings going into the legs which sacrifices their silhouette a bit but now he completes the 2007 cast.

Amazon has Mixmaster and everyone else listed. I reordered Scavenger with Mixmaster in the same order. Also my desire for a proper Dino and Que is like an unscratchable itch. I would really love the Wrecker crew in their armored forms. I wonder if Sentinel would get a Voyager or Leader treatment. I thought I remember him being taller than Optimus and Megatron in DOTM

Ugh. Just noticed what’s been bugging me about Scavenger. What’s with those red excavator arms? He never had them in the film.. right?

I’m still getting him, but I find it disappointing that with his $50 price tag he still needs Sharpies to be the figure I want.

He has the red on the excavator arm. Demolishor (Scavenger’s clone from the opening) is the one with white arms

It's quite easy to see where people feel these are inaccurate. Remember that Hasbro is basing these decisions mostly on the decorations of the machines that turned into Devastator, not necessarily the individual characters.

The sheer amount of cloned characters within ROTF doesn’t help either imo

Scavengers tread-wheel thing is kinda blowing my mind despite how simple it is. And it almost looks like he might have both treads in the bottom wheel, while the top one splits in half for something? Either way the wheel assemblies definitely become parts of Devastators neck/throat. Going to be interesting to see how he connects to Mixmaster.

The heck? You can clearly see in the photos you posted that the upper half of his excavator arm is red and the lower half is white. The only one where the entire arm is white is the old voyager toy. If anything the lack of black dirt/paint wear on his bucket is a downgrade since both the Voyager and combining toys had it.

You can just start collecting the one you want and not « gotta catch them all ».
I decided to collect less studio and even started selling some from year one (the bees, sold the first prime when I got the new voyager that combines with jetfire...) but I am definitely getting all 8 constructions, so awesome and solid .

For those that want accurate demolished, hasbro can still make a repaint later in the year to have an even bigger army of construct icons.

2007 Megatron and Shockwave are not doing much for me. Don't get me wrong though, Shockwave looks amazing toy-wise but I just don't have much connection to the movie character. Do like the fact he comes with a Brains, Wheelie, and para-trooper. I'd like to see Brains and Wheelie get their own Studio Series deluxe 2 pack. I mean if the Arcee triplets can get their own 3 pack at the deluxe price point, I can't see how those two can't get a similar release.

Scavenger and Mixmaster though I will be picking up since I've already fallen down the SS Devastator rabbit hole. Scavenger has his crazy robot mode but it looks like a fun crazy robot mode like Hightower's. Mixmaster on the other hand, looks a little oddly proportioned and almost spindly but considering he also has to form Devastator's head, I can understand them having to accommodate for that.

Considering how their Mixmaster and Scavenger was revealed first how could they be KO figures? Also the molds are completely different.

I'm going to laugh if DNA Design releases a replacement torso for Megatron.

You raise a fair point. I had forgotten that Studio Series was trying to focus a bit more on scale. As for Frenzy, I do kind of like that spinning blade that Barricade comes with but you're absolutely right that Frenzy would have been a much better choice to include with him. It's a shame they couldn't have included him with 2007 Megatron to properly round out the 2007 Decepticons. As far as I know, with Megatron, that completes the 2007 cast.

Is it me or is it that Megatron's feet look weird?
