just got mine. One ankle loosens the screw when moving it. The ankle is super floppy.

Just got this guy yesterday. Had a lot of fun transforming and posing him. Put him on the shelf, looks great, then went to bed.

Went to work today, rough day, forgot all about Saltus. Get home from work, all I can think about is sitting down to rest. Then I look on the shelf and see Saltus. I completely stopped what I was doing to look at him and think, "damn, that's a great figure."

I don't think I've ever been taken aback by a figure on my own shelf that I've already messed with like that. It's not just how he looks, he's so much fun to mess with as well. So many masterpiece figures are such a pain to actually manipulate that I don't ever want to touch them, but not Saltus.

I just recently got MMC's Azalea as well. Doesn't look as great, but just as fun to play with.

 

Funny hes contacted me apologising for delay hes posting a 5 dollar coupon to me lol. I got an ebay shipping notice i asked him is it on its way n he replied no its the coupon hes sending. Fuckin weird.

 

If you're polite and don't act like an entitled baby Baba is fantastic to deal with.

Yeah. I got the coupon, too. Nice of them, but when I asked if there was any idea when the item was expected in I got a few sentences of nonsense and figured it meant “if I had any idea I’d tell you, for real.”

All told I’ll have saved $20 from other listed prices, but if this ships next year that’s cold comfort. Not baba’s fault, but doesn’t make it fun.

 

@aledromo yea, that just doesn't make sense since other places are shipping out the second run of this guy already, why it wouldn't be til next year with Baba just seems...odd.

 

I think he made a mistake and didn't place an order with MMC.

Springer in Chinese translates to "spring" and he may have thought it was to be released next year.

 

A couple of days ago, I asked Baba this: "The Saltus listing says 'toys will arrive in April'. Is that really true - we have to wait until April?"

He replied: "Please don't worry about this toy. I'll ask the manager when I go to work on Monday."

 

The more I look at and mess with this thing, the more I love it. I can't remember the last time I've been so satisfied with a purchase. Gabriel or Sovereign, maybe. But Gabriel, due to his sheer size, is a bit awkward to transform (basically need to do it on the floor or on a large empty table), and Sovereign is a bit of a bitch to transform because of tight clearances and a few scary tight parts. I think this one tops them. I could see this one being out on the small table of figures I leave out to fiddle with for months.

 

Are the joints still tight?!

 

On Saltus? Yes. The knees and ankles don't ratchet, which I would have preferred, but they're by no means loose or floppy. The only floppy bit on the whole figure is one of the little yellow spikes from helicopter mode that sit inside his shoulders in bot mode under his yellow shoulder pads, but they tab into something in every mode so it's never an issue.

EDIT: I am not on MMC's payroll lol. I really just love this thing this much. I gush when I talk about it.

So I got an envelope from China telling me about the $5 coupon I already had emailed to me, and then the eBay notice came telling me my order was complete.

So, uh, what are the rest of you doing in this scenario? Just waiting it out?

 

I messaged Baba to thank him for the coupon, but at the same time asked if he had an update on the delivery, to which he said I would still have to wait. This way, there's a visible "paper" trail on Ebay that it hasn't actually been delivered should it all go wrong. However, I'm hopeful that it won't, as he is usually reliable.

I'm prepared to wait a while. The pre-order price was much less than most of the current asking prices.

 

Kind of a reason such a photo doesn't exist.

Not actually possible as a viable thing given the different scaling and Saltus being a much heavier toy, you try to have leo support him and leo will collapse under his weight.



Best to consider zeta or tw's mp Pred sets coming next year since each of their razorclaws will assuredly be of the 10inch toy variety and much larger and sturdier than leodux ideal for Saltus. But you can put the old gen springer or newer siege springer on leo just fine.
