is this me or shockwave alt mode look pretty much the same transformation than rotf studio series megs?

 

Oh my god, those Studio Series reveals are lit! They look great!
Well... Maybe not Mixmaster, but I'll live. He's a bit janky.

But Megatron, Scavenger, and Shockwave, wow! The last two especially look incredible. Cannot wait to get these.

 

I am not a huge fan of the movie figures, but that SHOCKWAVE...WOW.

 

Looks like Mixmaster does in fact hide Devastator’s face in him, or at least bits of it.

 

That Shockwave's vehicle mode is a perfect representation of how he looked in the movie.
I can't tell what either version is supposed to be.

I wasn't planning on getting Devastator but these Constructicons constantly end up looking so strange that I can't help but like them. Mixmaster is this weird spindly ape and Scavenger is a head on wheels. I like how Scavenger can look to the side — something that little Hightower couldn't accomplish.

 

I think this pretty much confirms SS as the ultimate movieverse line. I was sceptical at first about Hasbro delivering every movie character, but I'm very impressed at the work they've done thus far. I'll champion the build quality and transformations of the older figures until the cows come home, but sculpt-wise a lot of these are huge improvements over the originals.

So if I'm thinking correctly, the only trilogy figures left for them to produce are:

Pretty obvious to me that his truck cab is just folded onto his back, and that's where Devastator's face comes from in the movie, so that makes sense.

Shockwave looks absolutely phenomonal, Scavenger and Mixmaster look great as well, and Megatron...I'm okay with his boxy legs, but his chest and crouch...are they reuse of the ROTF one? The design is completely different between movie 1 and 2, why do they reuse them??

so i'm theorizing hasbro is using shockwave as way to see if people are willing to pay for a bump up in class if they include additional mini figs

i can't unsee mixmaster having little baby arms on his chest also the red on his back looks more like rear lights, i'm sure the face will actually be part of scavenger as a leader class could justify the additional paint needed for the head
