Guess my little purchase was overshadowed, haven't checked out the reveal just yet but super hyped to finally see it.

I figured getting the hand next to a relevant leader class would at least be a good size comparison. And also he can hold a voyager figure without any issues or extra support.

They all look amazing! 2020 is getting a solid start! The constructicons look amazing! Extremely accurate to film. Shockwave is a massive surprise as wheelie, brains and parachute dude is included! Although the paint scheme is not accurate, I might pick it up to replace my DOTM voyager when sale. And Movie 1 Megatron is also expected but as a Voyager? I was extremely hyped to pick it up but the torso seems to be reused from ROTF Megs and the knees look... bad. Kinda put off by it but gotta wait for more clear pics to judge

 

Shockwave's an easy buy.

 

I had a feeling it was a NEST soldier with a parachute but I wasn’t sure. It just looked like a human shooting lasers out of its hands. Pretty badass though.

 

Anyways, as for the reveals.

Happy Megs is happening but passing on him.

Mixmaster looks so good, I am so thrilled with him. The original is honestly one of my favorite voyager figures ever and this looks like a genuine upgrade in a lot of ways (even if I bet the transformation won't be as..interesting).

Scavenger, I mean they're doing what they can and I actually think it works. I never disliked the design, it was just something so hard to translate well to a functional toy.

Leader Shockwave is not hugely surprising, but still nice to see, almost makes me want to break my promise on only sticking to Devastator. Almost.

Really curious how they're getting Devs's head out of ol' Mixy.

 

So does that mean that Overload and another unknown leader will be for early 2021, or can we expect Overload for later 2020?

 

It's going to be a battle between shockwave and blackout for who is my favorite leader.

 

Wow that was unexpected. Cool to see Wheelie and Brains in some form. All of these reveals are bought!

 

I had convinced myself that I was going to be financially responsible and only buy the Devastator components and then stop buying SS...Then they had to announce Movie 1 Megs and a new Shockwave...

Wheelie and the Brain came out left field for me, happy they're getting the ss treatment (though I'm slightly disappointed that the former probably wont transform into the cute rc truck) Still, everyone looks great despite the blurry shots. Hopefully the thread wheels of Demolishor/scavenger can be sturdy in robot mode unlike the '09 voyager. Am also interested in seeing how they fit in devastator's face inside mixmaster.

 

While I'm not sure I myself would call this an upgrade upon the original ROTF Voyager (which was incredible), the fact that he comes pretty close while also being Devastator's head is a pretty remarkable.

 

Ok on one hand I'm SUPER excited by these reveals. On the other hand I REALLY need to save up funds for these guys. This wave sure won't be cheap for me!

I'm low-key tempted to pull a @Lazerwave and change my profile picture to SS mixmaster

I'm assuming maybe wave 9 as we have yet to hear about a voyager scrapper. I'm assuming overload will come out in the same wave as him.

 

Studio Series continues to be the low-key best line overall by Hasbro.

 

Totally didn’t see these reveals coming. So glad Hasbro proved me wrong!

Megatron - I’m surprised he isn’t both a Leader and a straight MPM downsize, but damn he’s good! Possibly the easiest buy on sight ever!!

Shockwave - didn’t expect him to come with Wheelie and Brains but I’m stunned! Who knew those two would finally see the light of day after how many years? His proportions look spot on with his look in the film, a definite improvement over the chubby looking DOTM Voyager!

Scavenger - a gigantic improvement over the Voyager. Definite buy! Oh pity my wallet  

Mixmaster - the greatest improvement of them all IMO. From the looks of it I doubt he’ll carry Mixmaster’s face, but in all his robot mode is way better than both the ROTF and that other 3P MPM Devy. Another guaranteed buy!
