has anyone got more info on this? it's not 3rd party companies so don't get stressed about that , but there goes my ko mp44 and haslab unicron :lol  not that i have bought many ko's of official figures just , the clear purple yes model mp11 , a mp11 skywarp for my hotlink custom and red alert years ago just to see what the quality was like it didn't replace my official

think i best grab a megatron ko off ebay soon to do a black repaint before they all disappear:lol

i thought they wouldn't be able to touch them but i was wrong

No news but all I can say is f&$@ “Transbridge Omegalock”.
    Great news? Get fu$&ed.
Love or hate KO’s, Hasbro cracking down on these companies is nothing good for collectors.
MP-36 and it’s vastly superior and cheaper KO’s is all the argument any customer should need for the value of KO’s. Whoever wrote that FaceBook post has been drinking the HasTak coolade.

i use tfs-express for a lot of my third party transformers and they have always been a good seller but yeah the good news part is harsh , it's not as if hastak have not made their money before the ko's were produced

hopefully the ko companies will find a way to still keep things going but if distributers are hit then it's going to be harder to sell anything produced

Direct KO's I can understand, but those making improvements? They're targetting a different market entirely. I want the Black Mamba OS Siege figures of Ironhide, Flywheels and Spinister for one of my displays. If I can no longer get them, will I rush out and buy the Hastak ones instead? No... because they're too small. They're not going to make any extra money from me by doing this, and I suspect that's largely the case across the board.

All I can say is that I'm in Beijing right now and I easily found KO Transformers at a shopping mall, let alone smaller shops and street vendors. To me this is like sticking a finger into a damn that's already burst, and I doubt things will change much in the long run. Hasbro probably did more to curb KOs when they moved production from China to Vietnam.

But when they did that it was more like sticking a finger in my eye with one hand on account of all the quality issues, while slipping into my wallet with the other for raising the price at the same time.

Sure I've purchased legit hasbro stuff this year, but anything that's better quality at lower price is a no-brainer.

Company that sells official Takara products being happy that KO's are being sold potentially taking away their sales..... What a shocking turn of events.

Why would they not be happy

Where do you think those KOs came from?
They are not being produced by malls and street vendors

Wherever they're coming from, Hasbro China's token action against a few KOers is like taking a cup of water out of a swimming pool and patting yourself on the back for taking steps to drain the pool.

Just for the record, I think it's good news for collectors. I don't intend to make a discussion about it, I just wanted to note not all collectors think likewise.

Just because some dipshit posts "good news" on facebook doesn't mean anything actually happened. Where's the actual article or evidence?

If true, that’s a bummer. I ADORE my IT MP-36. I prefer the grey to the metallic, and the back plate improves it so much.

This doesn’t mean I don’t buy Has/Tek. The vast majority of my collection is official. However, the occasional KO gives me what I really wanted out of a figure.

I don't really care about straight KOs but improved KOs are definitely indispensable to me. I won't keep collecting the MPM series if I can't get some of them fixed like Ironhide or a correctly scaled Blackout for example.

I have to agree with this. Even the Lego and Macross got headlines. If its as big as this is being pushed on FB, there has to be some media coverage somewhere.
